Hemi Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 Was not sure where to put this so here we go . im making a little project it requires a resonable spark for long durations. now i was going to use a dizzy and coil setup etc . but if i could find a coil driver and a switching mechanism that operates at say 5-25hz that would be neat . idea GO! and no you arnt allowed to know what it is ive also though of using a cdi system off a bike or scooter but again if i can keep everything solid state and small it would be neat Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

KKtrips Posted April 6, 2012 Share Posted April 6, 2012 I had thoughts of something similar for a flamethrower exhaust a few years back but I couldn't find anything - the way they do it is diverting the distributor signal from the engine coil to a secondary coil down the back.. Or there was Model T coils or something like that which were independant??? I can't remember. Is this contraption going to be on a car or hand held?
