crooked
yeah, its lowered slightly.... but even now its failed a wof on no suspension travel in the front... Going away for panel this week, its missing out on getting the chrome down the doors put back on, i cant find any and the old owner binned the original strips... Still figuring out whether i restore back to factory look, or give it abit of a spin... what do you reckon/
Chickity
Ooh, I was looking at this too, prior to purchase of paddock dwelling rusty humber version (almost identical up to the c pillars - they changed the back window shape in 65). viewtopic.php?f=17&t=29198 Lots of pictures of build please. We can be matching-car-buddies. Nix the chrome, they're too little to pull off lots of chrome like the big cars, end up looking like a christmas tree. Visor is a must. Chickity
Don't go grey. It'll look blah. Unless you go for pale blue/grey gloss. You could go fully oldschool and roll a deep Maroon, or a dark metalic Brown. Would look boss with a cream/white roof and matching interior. Colour is a super opinionated thing though. Might be best not to ask for input and just go with what you like best.
Snoozin
I think as long as you steer clear of modern metallics and pearls you generally can't go too wrong... keeping colour in period is essential for older cars.
crooked
Yeah definatly want to keep with old colour scheme, nothing metalic or pearl... i like the brown with cream roof idea though... Just not sure on a brown that would look nice... any ideas??
xsspeed
Chocolate A very deep maroon would be sweet with cream roof. Or beige.
Chickity
Would need to be dark brown and super glossy. Easiest way would be to get a paint swatch book and pick one you like. Slight imagination needed when it comes to envisioning it to scale on the car though. That's the hard bit I guess. Fake edit: XS, I like where your head is at. Beige will make it look like an escort, or a giant pair of trousers though. Ick.

CaMpylobacter
^ i love that colour scheme. especially in that state of decay. swoon. anything too 'bright' on this wont look that great IMO. just find a nice factory colour scheme and run with that. my grandmother had a lush blue on white two tone one. 'tis sitting in the carport at my grandfathers, where it has been since she died when I was 4 months old. not so mint anymore :\ is this like, 1 and a bit turns of the window winders to get the window all the way up/down? so sweet. also bench front and column change? Borgweiser
I am trying to do a deal on the beige one at present, its the distance from me that is the annoyance.. It would certainly not stay beige, I was also thinking dangerous nutmeg with a flash of aggresive cream and a black roof. There is also a silver one with red interior down the road which is looking sad with flat tyres etc, looks good with a black stripe. Cam, giz your grannies one or do it up yourself
