NYTR1S Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 I have a '83 toyota crown when engine is running the throttle stays open slightly but doesn't when throttle is operated with the engine off. thegreatestben Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 Are you sure it's the throttle staying open? What's the problem associated with it being open? Idling too high? If I manually close the throttle in the engine bay it will idle but as soon as I rev it up (from the engine bay) it stays at about 1800. It's not the cable. When i chucked in the 28/36 weber after taking it for a drive the throttle would stick at a rather high rpm. I thought that maybe setting up another cable with a return spring pulling in the opposite direction of the accelerator would solve this or a bigger return spring? havent got around to it though Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
