Abarth
Hey was wonder what the deal is with getting flanges water cut by an engineer. Can I just give them a USB stick with Prodesktop file of my flange design? Or is it better to give them a blue print drawing of what I want? I havent used Prodesktop in about 3 years so it would be faster for me to just draw it.
mark105
just give them a DXF cad file, all places should be able to use this. also unless you want 12mm+ alloy cut goto a laser cutter, water jets are so slow.
KKtrips
I know when 10-5 gets asked to cut flanges he likes to be given a CAD drawing of the part.. Oh I just see 10-5 answered too.. DOHLOL
Chrome_GT
yeah .dxf are the most widely used for 2D cuts. Make sure your .dxf is output at 1:1 scale and there is a sample dimension so they can check before cutting. Otherwise you could end up with a very big bill. CaMpylobacter
alloy ones? coan. saves me spending $89234902839048239048 on a pre made manifold that's easily made with two flanges, a bandsaw, and a gc on a tig. will contract the welding out to sister's bf. He can get cutting out done too but needs a file. I've got an 8v dcoe manifold but would rather not give that the choppy chop chop. 10-5? you reckon youd be able to help with af ile or nah? KKtrips
best answer - see Steve at Chase - I think my SBC exhaust flanges (in steel) were like $70 for a pair.. can't see a couple of DCOE flanges in alloy costing more than an Apriana
