UTERUS
Holla, you will have unplugged this bad boy from the autobox. Connect black with white trace and black wire together to bypass the neutral safety switch.

KKtrips
Oh LOL - Supremely awesome skills - can't wait till the day someone actually does a good drawing with MSPaint... You mentioned removing the transmission plugs from the ECU - have you plugged them back in again - also reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds and replugging back in.. Does the engine turn over and not fire or not turn over at all? Have you check if you are getting power to the starter motor solenoid? escortwags
in the cabin there were a couple of wires hooked into the shifter which are now unplugged. was a push the button in auto, and also when selected into park it pushed some elecrtic rod action onto another, looking like it was completing a circuit but f noes. We tested those wires off the shifter with a test light, all were dead except one had a VERY LOW current making the bulb glow slighty but nothing exciting MEGA EDIT FOR SHIT SPELLING! sheepers
first place i would check is make sure your getting 12V to the B+ pin in the diagnostic plug. that will tell you if the main EFI relay has power and from that the igniters and injectors should be powered. on my one i pulled all the auto wires out of the loom, didn't need to connect anything or "trick" the computer into thinking it was in park. after that your in a bit of a spot because who knows how the shop wired the computer and auto...........
