Realised the shitty ecu needs to think the auto is still hooked up and in park to start? (was running fine and dandy with the auto in)

anyone know how to get around this/which wires to hook together/ or heard a myth about running resistors somewhere

or jsut unplugging all the auto plugs out of the ecu?

Pleasseeeeeeee help weve busted our arse on this and just want to do some skids!!!

Oh LOL - Supremely awesome skills  - can't wait till the day someone actually does a good drawing with MSPaint...

You mentioned removing the transmission plugs from the ECU - have you plugged them back in again - also reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds and replugging back in..

Does the engine turn over and not fire or not turn over at all?

Have you check if you are getting power to the starter motor solenoid?

Please detail this unplugging of the auto shifter in the cabin? Is it an electronically operated shift mechanism - ie push button auto?

in the cabin there were a couple of wires hooked into the shifter which are now unplugged.

was a push the button in auto, and also when selected into park it pushed some elecrtic rod action onto another, looking like it was completing a circuit but f noes.

We tested those wires off the shifter with a test light, all were dead except one had a VERY LOW current making the bulb glow slighty but nothing exciting

MEGA EDIT FOR SHIT SPELLING!

tried that last night done nothing

wierd part was when one of em was connected it made the glow plug light come on, on the dash

(used to be a diesel), all was wired by a shop so proper as except the two in-cabin dangley wires

that were on the shifter, 2 x black wires & 2x red wires

but they are wired with males and females so that the black connects to red and vise versa?!?!? :doubt:

first place i would check is make sure your getting 12V to the B+ pin in the diagnostic plug. that will tell you if the main EFI relay has power and from that the igniters and injectors should be powered.

on my one i pulled all the auto wires out of the loom, didn't need to connect anything or "trick" the computer into thinking it was in park.

after that your in a bit of a spot because who knows how the shop wired the computer and auto...........
