Jase
cheers bro, its been on going for way longer than chris's escort so that motivated me to hurry up, only needs exhaust, wiring and plumbing to run. Then panel work and paint to get legal. I'll try running it with the supersix cam first then look at the blower setup later. Will go pick up steel for the tip tray tommorow and hopefully get extractors all tacked up.
CaMpylobacter
seems real close eh. how agressive is that cam? you're running stock ecu and shit I imagine at this point?
Jase
not super grumpy, I have a stage 3 chip for the comp which should bump the fueling up a bit. Will just try it I feel, this will be my daily eventually so not too wild but bumpy enough to sound good and have a good pickup. End of the day its not going to be too far over 1200kg , the chips rated at 150kw with 300 odd nm of torque before i drop the cam in. So 160kw if i'm lucky will throw me along nicely with a good torque figure, also dropping the ratios back from 3.08 commodore- b1600 3.9s and 4.8's, 3.9s for day to day and 4.8's for fun powercruise? Brock-Lee
Why do you need so much strength in a gearbox tunnel. You are going to have to weld in some sheet to cover it anyways, why not just make it from panel steel to start?
KKtrips
I am expecting a decent cupholder in that transtunnel - The attachments you could chuck on the tunnel is actually quite exciting.. Edit ^ that reads kinda sarcastic - its not meant to be though..
Jase
you don't at all, the idea was to have the frame and then a removable sheet metal tunnel, just to make everything easier to work on or replace ie makes it very easy to separate the engine and box when you can pop the tunnel off and reach through with a rattle gun. Jase
dash mounted bottle opener? i think so
KKtrips
Yes a 6 pack shaped cup holder would be mean!!! Mount one of these on the dash but rusty and haggard plz..
CaMpylobacter
^ that's a pretty good idea, actually. I mean, you'll rarely use a removable tunel as a feature but when you do need it, it'll be helpful every time I see aproject update on this i grin like a dweeb. everything you do seems to look like it's childs play to make most of this stuff. very inspiring
