tortron
i suggest putting a good quality "performance" replacement filter in your airbox

UTERUS
Who cares, it's a 1g-e. Take everything off and run no filter like real men.

Bling
Seeing as you're doing it for sound alone, and aren't worried about power loss etc.. You'll need to put the pod filter on an adaptor probably on the end of the AFM, if you put the pod inplace of the airbox you should be all good. For sound
81grande
i just want to know what it would sound like. would the power loss be substantial? considering its a 1geu so it has shit all power in the first place.

UTERUS
1G-E should be the flappy afm type, if you want noise you could just grab the holesaw and drill some holes in the bottom part of the air box. If you are really set on spending money on a pod filter, you will need to purchase an adaptor from repco or http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 021167.htm

japawagons
Most 80's 6 cylinder fuel injected toyota motors had vane type air flow meters (the flappy ones), repco have got adapters for them for sweet fuck all. Just smack one of them on the air flow meter and the pod filter on the other side and your set. Probably a waste of time though, not gonna sound that exciting.
