ESKIN8R
On my esky one wheel is centered in the guard (left) and the other is further back (right) arrow means forward Left Right What would cause this?
Gaz
By the looks of the discs and calipers I assume it is front wheels. In the escorts the sway bar is what locates the wheels in this plane. So, check the sway bar mounts, bushes etc etc.. Thats where I would start looking.
ESKIN8R
Yeah all the sway bar bushes are new, and the mounts seem all good

rot808
perhaps castor went out of alignment when u replaced everything? if thats the case use castor blocks or adjustable swaybar to correct this, im not too knowledgable on escort suspension, but my mazda has the same problem and thats what ill be doing to fix it... or have i got the wrong idea and im just telling u stuff you already know? ps nice wheels
stagefumer11
Most places with wheel alignments will have one set forward of the other. Its something about how the car tracks on the road or something. Best to talk to your good wheel aligner

petemk1
you can get a small amount of adjustment by putting washers on either side of where the swaybar goes thru the control arm
Gaz
^^ yuh, should have been more clear. It should stay pretty tight cause its trying to pull through. Its a nylock nut usually anyway isnt it?
ESKIN8R
Yeah its one of those castle nuts, with split-pin
sholdowa
It's either going to be a bent arb, or one of the bushes on the locating bracket for it is shot. Possibly even the bracket itself. Caused by hitting an immovable object ( usually a kerb ) at speed. If the brackets aren't bent, I'd replace the bushes with something decent, and if that doesn't work, the arb itself. If they are, then either use a fbh and/or fit a double width kit.
