Gaz
Dunno. I was going to use a hillman driveshaft in my mk2 cortina with 5speed and 2l because the end shaft is the right size for gbox. Instead I used a mk2 cortina 1 peice shaft and got the hillman end peice put on, Ended up making it the perfect size and didnt need shortening. So I guess escort is smaller wheelbase than mk2 cortina so perhaps the hillman shaft would fit right in. I have spare mk2 1 peice shafts if you need to have a fiddle and also still have the above mentioned shaft out of car if you wanna check. In welly tho. Toucan
Another option is each short half from a escort and a sierra, its been done by someone on here and worked.

esky boi
Or use a single peice shaft from an auto escort, goes straight in.
Hemi
beg to differ meth two piece are good but only in certain situations two piece would be good for mega high rev due to the extra support of a extra bearing (think skipping rope longer it get more uncontrollable its gets) having beraing in middle give more stability ...but in an escort or any car similar the distance is too short and causes driveshaft uj's to to go larger degree ( specially if rallying ) and can cause it to try and lock , u'js dont liek that and turn needle rollers into metal paste ..im drunk and just realised this is nothing but useless info

nismo.capri
circle track engineering in chch made me a brand new single DS for $180. They didn't even use the universals or flanges on the DS I supplied because they were cheap ones.
Gaz
They used your original shaft to sjorten or lengthen do you mean? Last shaft I got done in Rotorua was $160 to lengthen and change unis and front shaft. Quoted three weeks ago here in Welly to shorten a driveshaft and install new UJs (I supplied) was $300 Supose it goes where ya go.
