you should keep a keen eye out for a MK1 V6 'narrow' atlas. As it is 2" shorter than standard capri axle is it a good fit for a escort.

thats what I run.. hard to find though and every cunt wants one.

if you run the standard english axle with a quaife & a boosted 2L you will be changing half shafts every weekend lol

1350mm drum to drum for escort? Whats the capri one?

Do you think the standard english with LSD and heat treated axles will still break? I really need to talk to someone using one with biggish power.

Other option is the v6 tina borg warner and a falcon LSD.

yep.. they were never designed to take anywhere near what you plan on putting through it.. you're n/a pinto with sidesuckers could kill it with a few good launchs. The LSD isn't going to help.. it's only going to put more strain on the halfshafts(axles) and they will break.

my mate is also planning to use a Atlas V6 behind his VG30DET with 450hp so it is the way to go.

Hmm 50inch or even 52inch is too skinny for an escort. Are you sure thats the width?

50inch is 1270mm. Drum to drum I supose?

What kind of power would one of these diffs handle and what the LSD head worth for one?

auto torque bias lsd units are around 1500 brand new for both Atlas and English axles.

I'd say English axles are ok for ragging around 130hp at the wheels.. if you weren't dropping clutches hard maybe 160..

I knew a guy who was breakin shafts every weekend with a 200hp pinto escort.

the size is correct as it was shorter than stock because he had deep dish wheels it also has discs. just mini tub the esky and fit sum 8-9 rims :lol: would look phat

lol. just.. just. Yeah ill just whip that up one afternoon.

Would look tough as. Too much money/ effort to do however.
