Guest kris
Thanks for the pie. Can't imagine me in a starlet, so we're even. Just dropped the head and pulleys off for machining, and the dizzy to be shortened.
Toucan
Have you done this before or are you getting help from somewhere? Cause you certainly seem to have done your homework and know whats what. You will have a bit of every car brand in that engine soon Good work im following this project very closely
kyteler
Come on Escorta, surely when you bought your escort you did a search or two on google. kris is Kris Bubendorfer, the master of this website http://www.mcs.vuw.ac.nz/~kris/escort/ I sent him a couple of emails when I had my Escort though I imagine he get's a few and he's probably forgotten by now. Guest kris
Yea I found that site long ago but that dont have supercharging guides and the rest of this crazy stuff Yeah, I should put on the website but I am waiting until I'm done (or almost). Then I'll write it up properly. Crazy! I'll take that as a compliment To answer your earlier question about 'help', nah it's pretty muchl me. Some helpful sites, a fantastic book on forced induction and advice from here and there - including some comments from nismo capri. But mostly it's wandering aroung PAP with a ruler and figuring out how I can engineer things to work. Other useful things have been the ACL piston catalog, the DBA brake disc catalogue and various forums for other little hints. Don't have to be Escort forums either, MR2, toyota, etc have all helped a bit. It's fun - I like 'scapheap' engineering. K.
Guest kris
I sent him a couple of emails when I had my Escort though I imagine he get's a few and he's probably forgotten by now. Sorry kyteler, I don't remember. Mostly I am very bad at answering emails, I get so many through work, the personal ones drop to the bottom of the mail box and I forget about them. Oops. If you got a reply you would have been one of the few lucky ones.
Guest kris
You will have a bit of every car brand in that engine soon I am almost there (with the car as a whole) I think: Ford (There is still some left ) Holden (pistons) Toyota (lots including the SC) Nissan (Pulley) Subaru (TB, intercooler etc) Pugeot (Front Disks) Saab (EFI Plenum) BMW (Headlights) Lada (yeah, seriously - an ignition amp module but I probably won't use it now) Renault (Nice rad that I am having second thoughts about) Mitsubishi (Roller strut tops) Honda (seats) Volvo (front calipers) Have I forgotten any? Dunno, more bits off some of the brands above but that's all I remember at the moment) Anyone here done more?
Gaz
Pugeot (Front Disks). I almost went for those. some of the only right offset that i found. Too expensive however. Holden Mitsubishi (Roller strut tops) How these work therir way in? Gazza

Holden PAP is great Mitsubishi (Roller strut tops) How these work therir way in? Gazza They can be used with the std strut inserts if you turn them down 1/2 mm, but better with the Celica inserts that I am going to use. They are off the old 4 square headlight tredia, or early lancer. They need the small strut top hole made a couple of mm larger - minimal. Guest kris
hey where are you getting your coilovers done? a guy up here in auckland does them 1500 each strut That seems expensive - no offence. Looks like I am up for a $100 under 1/2 that (including the price of the inserts from the US). The threaded tubes and nuts are $90 a set for both sides... I haven't decided where to finally go yet, still geting quotes. I might weld the coil overs on myself - have to check with compliance man... K.
