SYKOV6
any of u guys had trouble gettin a warrant with the old type wildcat steering wheel? went to an auto sparky today to get my battery checked and the guy was tellin me the old type wheels wont get a wof any more as they have been proven to be weak as the alloy centre spokes are soft and bend easily in a crash. sounds kinda wack to me i thought thats what they were meant to do. CaMpylobacter
sure its not just some old cunt talking shit trying to sound important, as alot of them do fully.... wildcat steering wheels always seemed more robust than half the shit that's on bog standard horrors anyways
SYKOV6
its the old type wildcat the newer ones are heaps more robust heres a pic
CaMpylobacter
hahaha, if I = wof officer, that steering wheel would = cross off two things from the fail sheet, thats a primo wheel!!!! sounds like bullshit to me though anyways..... keep a standard one on hand for wofs
mkcortina
i had 1 of those wheels and i snaped the top half off as they are really weak.

TygerTung
You want it to bend in a crash, I'd rather have the steering wheel bend than my face bending in a crash!
durty
u make a valid point there
SYKOV6
i thought it was meant to collapse in a crash and absorb some of the crash energy so ya not face planting a solid object. not sure about early cortinas but i know mk2 eskys have a collapsable steering column for the same reason
