  1. When was that? that is cheaper than an oil filer for an escort from Repco.
  2. I saw this in Junes CF Mag http://www.sciperformance.co.uk/page_1796358.html they don't have the price for the crossflow yet.
  3. For that sort of stuff i find rally design to be cheaper and the same thing. I think RD supply Burton with a few items http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=609_681_684&products_id=4315
  4. I think WOF places have found a bit of a cash cow with wiper Blades. Everything time i take my car for a warrent it fails on wiper blades, that are 6 months old and have only been used most likely 10times as i only do about 1k per 6 months. Last time i was there i noticed they had a big box of blades behind the counter so they can sell you new ones. (they also failed it on the rear seatbelts were under the seat)
  5. i dont know my car came with 1 set and teh second set was already done and i just had to put the ball bearings in.
  6. i think the rubber was burnt out and then new bearings were put in.
  7. just thinking about it my other set ive got. i replaced the actual ball bearings in them which i got form saeco
  8. my MK1 cortina has those. the set that are in my car have new bearing put in them with urethane instead of rubber. I think chris at suspention tech can do it.
  9. most ppl just use a hole saw. I havnt seen any of these in NZ yet http://vansantent.com/sheet_metal_machines/punch_flare_tools_aircraft.htm I'm going to try and get a 2inch 1. frost in the uk has a 1inch 1 http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=9120&frostProductName=Hole%20Flare%20(1in.)&catID=&frostCat=&frostSubCat=&subCatID=
  10. Its in the "YOUR CAR" section CF March 2010I really like how they think we dont have to deal with rust.
  11. I see you car made it into Classic ford in the "your car" section. FEB 2010 The pictures look really good.
  12. My Brother bought this in australia and had it over there for a few years and then decided to ship it back to NZ for me to look after it and fix it up. This was in Perth This is when it arrived in NZ a year ago I took it to get Vined in at VTNZ failed on a few things Tints, Streering rack, front disc's too thin, no high stop light and rust (need certified repair) fixed everything but the cert that night. Took it to the Certifier and was told had to remove all under seal and paint from all under body and floor and then get him to check it again. 9 months later finally had time and removed the under seal and paint. I then had to repair all the Rust spots. Left rear Repair pannel Inner and outer Right Rear Pannel i had the certifer come around today and he is happy with all the repairs so now i have to get it ready to paint I spent today stripping it a bit more and found some more rust the VTNZ guys didnt find, so ill have to fix that now.
  13. im looking at a system for the escort and 1 for the cortina. so ill work out how much for the lot. shipping was about 150 for a manifold and system.
  14. im getting it off http://www.105speed.com i got some pic's last nigt of them an man they look geat. just need to decide how many to get
  15. what kind of clutch cover does it have? does it have a 3 prong cover or 1 with alot of prongs?
  16. Does anyone know how much difference there is from a mk1 escort sedan exhust system to a pannel van exhust system. Im looking at getting a stainless exhust system from the UK but they only do it for the sedan.
  17. are the lines copper or copper nickel?
  18. i was just abouyt to write that. Yeah if you use 1500 extractors you will fing the bolts will work them self loose. It is better to just get some new extractors.
  19. Im pretty sure they will you just have to modify 1600 to fit a 1500, by cutting the half the bolt holes off so the intake will fit between them.
  20. I thought i better show how i measured it.
  21. these are my old mounts which i wont need now as ive gone worldcup mounts. They are a V6 rubber on a escort mount. measurements are if you have the ruler inline with the bolt. 80mm from the block to the rubber mount 110mm from block to the end of the rubber mount. If you want to borrow them to see if they will work let me know.
  22. have managed to get any pins out? i could only get the top 1's out. i then had to move the door up and down till the pins snapped. i think the hinges are bent thats why they are hard to get out. once i snapped the pins both half's came out really easy. also you can get the remover from sulco http://www.sulco.co.nz/Product?Action=View&Product_id=911
  23. Im going to use the smiths electronic speedo. I first got a speed sensor from the smiths rep in Auckland Part number EMP34-1Kit which is made by the same people as the smiths gauges was $126+gst a year ago This sensor uses magnets which is stuck to drive shaftand the sensor picks up the magnets passing it after alot of time thinking how i could mount this i decided to use this https://www.burtonpower.com/product_main.aspx?prodLanding.aspx?CCode=PC700 part number REVFSS which will just plug into a ford gearbox. hope this helps
