So these turned up today Been rained off work today so going to have a good measure up and work out some heights, after seaching forums ect ive seen people say stock s2 rx7 struts lower your 626 approx 75mm, as its my daily driver this may be bit on the extreme side, also work out what size wheels can fit in im really liking these. they need a bit of love but i think would really suit it also going to finally put a cd player and speakers in, doing an hours travel minimum a day it would be nice to listen to some tunes, going to try find some plain and subtle looking speakers to fit in the factory holes and seen as some one has already butchered the heater and stereo surround may aswel just slot it in there

I see your in Nelson/Blenheim area, If you do end up getting cert, Barry Dowler at the Motueka testing station is a good guy to go through. Like Slacker Sam said you would want to get in-touch with the guy who sold it too you to cough up for the cert costs ect if it turns out to be dodgy

that is such a cool cosmo! ive always wanted a hb coupe, I'm pretty sure that cosmo had 15" konig rewinds on it at some stage it looked real good on them

mate i couldn't believe it! i just had never even thought to try, just presumed it would definitely be a 4 speed being series 1 chrome bumper ect, makes driving down the m1 at 110 alot more enjoy-able thats for sure!

Scored a pair of series two rx7 struts complete with vented brakes ect for $70 so stoked. Also got a awesome surprise the other day, driving down the road and i accidentally hooked fifth gear! ( had always thought it was four speed like the knob said ) was over the moon as i have been trying to track down a 5 speed and having no luck. cant believe been ringing it in fourth for the past two months! cleaned the toys today

while im daily driving it, I'm going to find some nice wheels and sort out the suspension, in about 6 months ill hopefully send over a 12a bridgeport ive got sitting in nz and drop it in. ive got camber plates on the way and hunting down some cheap struts thinking of trying to find s3 rx7 and change the stud to 114.3 and open up the wheel choice abit, want something 15x7 like some meshies this is my inspiration id like some similar style rims with gold centres, same ride height and respray in same colour

picked up my new ride earlier this week, 120000kms with owners manual and logbook in glove box, pretty tidy for its age! highly recommend tony at toy shop engineering, he let me send back the ex lancer camber plates i didn't use and is sending me some 626 ones i just had to pay postage, top fella need to find some rx7 struts now and lower it

got dash, parcel tray and door card inserts back from getting recovered, got dash back in and together looks good,

look forward to seeing what the globes look like on it, they are a cool wheel, nice tidy lancer too!

had to get wof a couple of months ago so put everything back to standard and run it through only needed new brake pads in the front, then had just been using it as my daily until couple of weeks ago got a cheap run around, so put the lancer back in the garage, and stripped the dash, door cards and parcel tray out, to all be recovered, bogged up the cracks and speaker hole in the dash and re-made door card inserts and parcel tray out of 3mm mdf. dropped it all off to be recovered on tuesday so looking forward to getting them back and get it all back together,getting it all re-done in a similar to factory light brown vinyl, need to take out the front screen and re-seal as with all this rain it started to get a couple of leaks dripping onto the dash, also got a straight bumper to replace the buggered one that was on it but its really faded, ive heard wurth do a good plastic dye to bring it back to black anyone else used it or know of any good products out there?

Beaver- thats what i first thought so changed the starter motor and it still happened so i thought it would not be likely to have two starter motors with same problem and my mate said the one i put in worked fine in the car before he stripped it R100- thanks mate i will look into this

been having this issue for awhile now with my ex lancer (well since ive owned it) where the starter motor continues to wind over after ive released the key, it use to only do it for a short while then stop, every now and again it will just keep going (even if put it in gear ect) to the point where i quickly pop the bonnet and pull the wire off the solenoid, so i changed the starter motor with a 2nd hand one off a mate that he had used in a car and he said he had no issues with it, and its continued to happen, i also changed the ignition barrel and its continued to happen, would there be a relay or something like that being dodgy and keeping power to the solenoid after the keys released? any help would be much appreciated cheers
