yea mazda still have them. $190 each from the quote i got a couple of weeks ago
  3. I think the only way you could insure it for that amount would be with reciepts? also why is this up to 3 pages already? nothings happened?
  4. push it? what? down the motorway? Ill see if i can fit it in, might not fit as someone will be sitting on the back seat but ill give it a hoon/ fold half the back seat down and give stuff a fiddle. Ill probably be back in auckland in a couple of weeks so could possibly bring it up then failing everything else? txt/PM your address so I know where Im going.
  5. yea i did. mitch said hes going to txt/call me about it. looks like im getting the stuff tomorrow night. should be able to fit the seats and diff in. the hatch im not sure about. is it a fibreglass or steel one? does it have glass in it? EDIT: also Ill drop the stuff off to you on my way home from kumeu. that cool?
  6. are you going to do anything to this or leave it as is?
  7. Dont know if GT refinishers will do andys thing if he doesnt want to pay much. they seem to run a minimum standard they wish to achieve and therefore theres a minimum price.
  8. depends on the kit and the vehicle. if you keep swaybars attached and aren't going silly high I wouldn't think it would be a big deal in an 80 series. take of swaybars/make disconnects for offroadtime. RB30 in any patrol would be puss as shit unless it had the crap supercharged out of it. pratols are really heavy. biggest problem will be if you raise the 4wd up, your tow ball goes with it so the arse of your trailer will drag pretty damn close to the ground, Just keep it in mind yea would probably run an adjustable/custom removable one. Trojan make some to suit this kind of problem
  9. keen to build a trophy truck for lolz
  10. yea would definately run highway tires for normal road use. not so bad on the wallet either having to buy new mud tires all the time. just wondering if I should look at buying a 80 series atm
  11. how rubbish do lift kits make 4wds when it comes to towing stuffs? do they wallow around? thinking 80 series landcruiser if that matters
  12. I may be going to tauranga but it wont be til feburary.. so probably no help to you.
  13. 8 litres per 100kms I do believe, or there abouts
  14. Did you put those stickers on the doors?
  15. whered you get that from? you going to blast the shell with walnuts or something? I'd be tempted to.
  16. Im kinda suprised they started this so close to xmas tbh. how long does it take concrete to crack anyway?
  17. yea you should stress cut the concrete. cracks are mega gay
  18. I know they can tow heaps was just curious to know what theyre rated to by toyota... cbf calling them/4wd ones were never sold nz new so theyd probably have no idea. might stalk some of them around town and see whats written on the towbars. thanks anyway.
  19. na i dont have one just needa know what theyre rated to as i have an idea developing... was hoping that someone had one and could walk outside and tell me.
  20. does anyone know what 4wd hiaces are rated to tow? cant find nothing in a google search.
  21. Is the garage now bigger than your house?
  22. Nah I made the patch fit pretty much exactly (with a hell of a lot of trial and error) and butted them up. Didn't want ANY overlap cos that's where it rusted in the old floor. Dunno if it'd be structurally sweet without all the bumpy bends etc in the floor, but the new metal is so unbelievably thick that it's way more rigid now. The passenger side floor has heaps of flex in it, the drivers patch has barely any! sorta depends on how it goes down with the cert guy. my mates escorts floor has had new patchs in the floor/ trans tunnel and he was told by the cert guy to have a 20mm overlap. if yours wasnt so cbad you could hide it but you probably wont be able to expecially now that you made new seat belt anchors. or are ya just guna hide it anyway and not tell nobody
  23. the diesel foresters run a 6 speed. id assume theyre lower ratios being diesel and all. a turbo legacy box should be fine as the turbod ones make more power than the 6 cylinder.... definately interested in how this works out.
