  2. i have some short and stiff as shit brand new hilux shocks if you'd like them, just to short for the chaser's irs
  3. Cert is booked for mon 31st, realised ive cut it pretty short considering its been at the panelbeaters for 7 weeks and its still not primered.
  4. is that steve^ also fuck yes, those wheels.....
  5. yea also at auckland doing tfc cause noob, goal is engineering next year but not sure if i'll stay at auckland
  6. Hi, i've searched but everythings old and the pics are gone. Are you able to cert a setup like this below, where you bolt two plates to the original rails and then bolt seat to those plates?
  7. white h/t and interior was brown/gone its on trademe somewhere
  8. yea he's giving me the tyres off the longchamps
  9. those look like motorbike mirrors that all the shakotan guys use, vitalonis, michael has them on his 81
  10. sorry i'm shit at explaining this stuff, by anchorplate i mean the bit that bolts to strut as above^ (the caliper, fuck knows how i came up with the term anchor plate/braindead) as you are saying its a different bolt spacing, but the caliper is also designed differently, so you'll need the 71 hub and disc to fit the caliper correctly. part 7 has a different offset causing it to bind on the disc
  11. 71 calipers are exactly the same size as the 61s, but the anchor plates are different. i have some off a mx73 and a ga61, those 2 have the same bolt spacing etc. problem is the mx73 anchor plates position the caliper in a different spot due to the mx73 disc and hub being different. basically leads to the disc grinding on the anchor plate 73 stuff with a 61 hub. tldr: you need 71s hub, disc and anchor plate. only piece that's a straight swap is the caliper and even then the brake hose sticks out at a different angle. (i haven't checked if ga61s are exactly the same but i'd assume so) also those outer barrels are probably made for a wheel with a much lower offset compared to your 8s? your 8s are weak, mine sit outside the guard even with full camber.
  12. i stupidly crashed it while driving tired. day after i put the diff in i got from you. just been collecting parts and doing cert related bits
  13. almost set for cert other than minor things like alignment, bumpstops etc, fronts getting fixed/painted next monday.
  14. That one last night was near on mint condition, i definitely pushed it quite a bit further than i thought it was worth just cause i wanted to save it or make sure it went to someone who would look after it. It'll be interested to see if people start hiking their prices after that, not that they weren't already.
  15. thats not irs, irs is independent rear where each side moves seperately, has diff, halfshafts trailing arms etc(i suck at explaining) 86 is solid rear, axles diff brakes etc are all in one unit and move together. hence 86s having no rear camber.
  16. bc make adjusties for it. thats probably your best option. in my case the lowering springs that came with my 61 chaser were utter shit. have gone with s13 adjusties.
  17. outside, if you walk pretty much straight ahead after going through gate its there(you'll have to walk round a wall). its blue and sits next o the morris/minis/etc
  18. there's definitely a gx60 there, springs were in it last time I went
  19. why not 71 cresta quad headlights? they should bolt on
  20. wish i had the option, /a garage also this thing is gonna be fucking sweet, zaust can fuck right off
  21. i see plenty of adjustables with nothing to hold the spring away from the thread, so assumed it wasn't an issue. sweet that is all i needed to hear, thanks ^sweet, since everything else i've seen is fucked, is it ok to run keepers above the spring? they'd fit easily there and should stop way before anything fouls
  22. shock body is big enough that the spring doesnt move around much.
