  1. fuck yes, i don't usually like watching rally but that was amazing A+
  2. i believe if you cert with stock wheels its labeled oe wheels, and you're allowed to go +/- 20% in width an +/- 1" in diameter. I've got the numbers skewed but i'm pretty sure thats right.
  3. Hey Ed, my Ts-x44s arrived but sadly the foams rotted away, not exactly surprising though. so i'm looking at getting them fixed, i've emailed retrotronics but i was also wondering what my other options are, i'm happy just replacing the foam myself but i don't know if you can buy square foam rings? Thanks pic = http://instagram.com/p/tWxrhjjdUK/?modal=true
  4. dissapoint. tercel was lush spec, this is weak.
  5. 3kg seems crazy soft? i run a 9kg in the chaser i think coilover springs just tend to droop less than factory, and stiffer is better if you want lows. /take it for a drive before changing spring rates
  6. just hunt for us a bit, the carparks usually pretty full
  7. been driving this thing to much and not cleaning it enough
  8. racecars are different, they have an authority card that allows them to do what they like etc. i can't imagine many adjustable suspension that will work across its complete range without becoming uncaptive, adding to much bump steer or being to low etc. Please go and do some proper research, even just looking at a cert plate will tell you more than what you know now.
  9. not sure if you've ever checked yahoo, but 2k will get you 8j + 9j A type set of mk3s with room left over for some very nice tyres. you'd have 2 very nice sets of ssrs if you wanted the sizes you currently have, 8j Bs(+/-0) are relatively cheap, and 17s look hideous on these, donk spec. Supporting rota for price factor alone is not an excuse in my books, support genuine especially when you've gone to the effort of a respray and trust headers.
  10. i'd just like to point out that you can get ssr's from japan for the tiniest bit more than rotas, for what you probably paid for those two sets you could have some really nice condition ones in decent sizes easily.
  11. Yea i've got ts-x44s coming from japan $147 shipped. Kind of worried about square speakers but meh.
  12. its actually a 2zz. mitch is dumb.
  13. c's garage is running 195/45s, rather large difference there. tyre size, suspension setups etc make a huge difference. but yes you can do it.
  14. just as a note, you are not going to be able to "just camber them in" and pull the guards. what are the widths and offsets? you could pull it off with some 155/55s, alot of camber and low. no idea how you'd work the back though. flares are probably your only option really
  15. you may also want to check the camber laws and other things. its not easy to cert these things low.
  16. they should with keepers and some persuasion. 50-60mm is comfortable, 40mm and below is when its gets tricky.
  17. what? do some research also cut springs are fine for cert in these things, they have spring seat design thats fine with it. have had multiple cert guys say its fine.
  18. if you're trying to go that low just get bcs all round, you're gonna have issues certing it that low so having the ability to lift it is wise.
  19. if you're careful with the grinder they'll look factory again, i went pretty hack job on mine and managed to get them ok, cert guy didn't notice.
  20. cut the 'top' off and reshape with a grinder.
  21. disagree completely, i'd be removing all the spoilers, they look so much cleaner and less cluttered. interesting thats its 5mge, i always thought xx's where 1gge. wheels and slam please.
  22. "not much of a project" cars in bits. haha i approve, slam 13s win at life. you just need a lowrider now.
