  1. Highly recommend Lynn Rogers automotive in Howick. We get our heads done there.
  2. Looks rad man! Kinda reminds me of Fantasy Factory in Performance Car Mag a couple months back.
  3. Adams back next week. I assume he will be at Hampton this weekend with the Corolla. @Truenotch. Im only a intern, What you need doing?
  4. Yep sure do, I'm on the induction hardener tho. Not entirely sure, ill check with the boss tomorrow. You stress relieving it?
  5. Why is there some sort of steel tube spaghetti with a business card of some guy who works for BSL at my work??
  6. Im just gonna hazard a guess but the rubber intake pipe should balloon quite nicely at "competition" boost pressures.
  7. Odd looking Renault 12. I do hope this and the 12 are gonna be treated to a Imagine Airing paint job.
  8. Fast forwarding a couple months. The next main meet for the Escort was a cruise to Leadfoot Ranch in early November (the day after my final uni exam ever yuss!!) rotorhoe, 427carguy and myself cruised down to Hahei with the rest of the Oldschool crew. 427carguy drove the Escort up the drive without adding to the scratches on the side hahaha Leadfoot Cruise-November (photos courtesy of rotorhoe, Toygte and Snoozin) Hatfields Beach Meet-December (photo courtesy of Toygte) Burgerfuel Monthly meet-December (photos courtesy of rotorhoe)
  9. Well I've taken long enough to update this, no thanks to Uni and laziness. Tape player was a no go. Rubber driver belt was completely perished ahwell. The Escort has been racking up the miles in the last 12 months and has got a bit lower as well. So some of the events attended in 2012 in chronological order: Carl's Jr Meet-February (photos courtesy of chess-) Galaxy of Cars-February (photo courtesy of Avenga) 4 and Rotary Ardmore-March (photo 1 courtesy of chess-, photo 2 courtesy of Performance Car Mag) After the 4 and Rotary meet, chees- provided the inspiration for lowering. Thus before Oldschool Nationals, Dad restored MK2 escort front struts with 2inch lowering springs and new shocks. The rear got two 20 litre bottles of water and three sandbags to aid in lowering it as the new rear shocks raised the rear of the car. Finally the MK2 struts allowed for the Escort to finally run disks on the front, so the brake booster was added as well. Oldschool Naionals-Rotorua (photos courtesy of rotorhoe) Nats was a success with the Escort netting a close second in the "How is that so slammed?" prize. Credit is due to the organising committee for putting on such a choice event.
  10. That is a poor excuse Mr Llama. Walked from Britomart-Sky Tower (to ask for directions)-Mercury Plaza in aforementioned poor weather. Mercury Plaza is a mighty fine establishment. Good to catch up, Synergy well leveraged.
  11. Bolts hold nose cone to front guards and are hidden by the front bumper when its put on, also lower valence seam is hidden with bumper on. Only tricky bit is getting the lip of the guards to match the nosecone lip (eg move nosecone up or down)
  12. Conference carried over to after 6pm and gotta practice for my speech tomorrow yay. Was damn keen too.
  13. Only just realised this has all the early MK1 trim bits (big light switches, non closure airvents etc). Looking good. You going for a road-rally look? You'll need Contour buckets next hahaha
  14. Just saw the Transit van on Symonds St. Who's was that? I think I know the previous owner of it.
  15. Hmpf. No biggie its just a 808..
  16. How?? Who?? Wha..?? Don't do this. We have the spray to do it properly.
  17. I may be late as I have no idea when I will be finishing. Thus this post was pointless...
  18. What Snoozin said. Hope it won't rain like the last December cruise (was still sweet tho)
  19. In with a grin. May be late due to prior arrangements.
  20. Precisely what I thought. It only became apparent that it was a genuine Healing made Loline tandem once in our possession. Ideally the handlebars on the rear should be on the front seat post. My thoughts are to fix what needs fixing, hide the rear handle bar post weld (bandanna, paint) and ride it... must confirm with my business partner first tho.
  21. Yea its a 3 speed (hi-lo-med). Can't remember the name of it tho. durty: Ill get a pic in the next few days and count spokes. Cheers Only other major is brake parts and tires which should be easy enough.
  22. They would struggle to power over 130kg worth of human tho. Internal gear rear hub. Easy to restore??
