  7. Not sure lol.
  8. Cheers for that mate. I should have updated the thread to mention that I ended getting the rust work done at Custom Panels on Glasgow St.
  9. Thought I'd better have an update, work, women & kids get in the way. Window regulator on the driver's side has never winded down fully so got off my arse and took a look. Appears some joker has replaced it at some stage with a different regulator as it isn't the same as the one on the passenger side. (Bracket circled in red is meant to have 3 screw holes, as per the following photo). Have replaced it for the moment until I can source a replacement. Discussion

  13. The joys of in-unit engines aye.
  14. Sorted out the tie-rods ends today. Rust work booked in for Monday.
  15. Went for a WOF the other day, failed on tie rod play and this: In a prick of a place. But that's life. Having searched the forum, I've come across some recommendations of decent rust repair places in Dunedin to get it repaired (Custom Panels, Emslie & Flockton, and another my neighbour has suggested). If you do have any recommendations, please let me know, cheers. Zero work done on the engine since last time, Work, tech and moving house has gotten in the way.
  16. That is one tidy looking Civic _b
  17. Not that anyone will care, but sod it.... Some work done on the car, when I should have been studying. Decided I need get off my arse and get her running better (tuning is a bit out), so grabbed a compression tester. No. 1 - 159 PSI No. 2 - 159 PSI No. 3 - 156 PSI No. 4 - 152 PSI Nice even wear it seems, and no huge difference with a bit of oil in the cylinders. Plugs were black as, clearly too rich and too many short trips in her.
  18. I donno, some drunk Escort lad might do something stupid for some 4 pots lol

  20. Re: fuel caps, must be plenty of lockable ones on Ebay etc, like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOCKING-PETROL-CAP-WILMOT-BREEDEN-BMC-FORD-JAGUAR-AUSTIN-HEALEY-BMW-MG-NOS-/231172532582?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35d2f4e966#ht_363wt_1051
  21. Crank is out As is the camshaft A couple of the tappets are showing wear, so will need to replace them.
  22. Fine choice of car, sir. So when you say you're going to make it more original, do you mean getting the bright work back to being bright? (bumper, grill, door mirrors etc) What year is it registered as? '74 or '75? If it's '74, pay tax up until Janurary 2015 and save yourself a bit of coin for when it turns 40. How's the interior looking? They tend to be hard wearing from the ones you see for sale. Do you have a Haynes Book of Lies? If not, get one and any other sort of workshop material, that shit is useful. PS More pics _b
  23. There a few BMC weirdos on the site. Now it's your turn to start a build thread....
  24. It's a possible option, at this stage i'm leaning towards green. ....how about gold seal spec?
