Blizzo, you better get this done before I get back. So keen on pretending to be 70's rally drivers!
-
Unless the springs are 1kg/mm there is no way they are going to come down enough, and even then it will be completely shit to drive. Someone fucked up, either you measured wrong, or they made them wrong, but they aren't right either way.
-
This makes me so happy. Laser cut heaps of nick naks Dayfe!

Reasonably sure an SR is the least retro looking engine in existence.
-
I put efi on the Kent because it is an upgrade. Putting carbs on an SR is a down grade in every way, add a dizzy into the mix and you are going backwards so fast it isn't even funny. Why not put aftermarket efi on it?
-
Why would you want to put carbs on an SR?

Cheaper again off amazon http://www.amazon.com/Devilbiss-StartingLine-Paint-Priming-Spray/dp/B001KP4DNE

I filter all my paint and don't run an inline filter. If you are going to spend ~$200 you should get that DeVilbiss kit out of the states. You will find having a primer gun is super handy and it comes with all of the difference size tips, all of which makes your job easier. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Devilbiss-StartingLine-Spray-Gun-Kit-/190917195367?hash=item2c738d3667&item=190917195367&vxp=mtr

While what you say is true Danger, I only own a $50 gun, I feel you should do everything you can to help yourself, and if that is buying a $300 gun then so be it. I used one of those w-400 guns to spray my Alfa and they are a really nice bit of kit, highly rrecommended.
-
Worth it though if you care what your finish is like.

Did you post that De Vilbliss kit on purpose, because it is like twice the price of the Iwata. If you are going to drop serious coin ie more than $100, then you might as well step up to a Iwata w-400.

Actually this video does an even better job of proving my point that they never turn the supercharger off. And thinking about it, this is the only bit of proof you should actually need.
-
I was talking about compund setups when I said you wouldn't do it this way. sorry for the miss understanding. And while great for fuel economy, it is not so great for out right area under the curve, which is what makes twin charging dominate.
-
Untill you find me someone from lancia who says they switched off the supercharger I won't believe it. There is no reason to run two intercoolers if you aren't compounding boost. These people have all been tricked because of this image which shows air going arond the supercharger, all that is is the idle stabilzation. Read the Evo thread he talks about idle IATs going through the roof because he blanked his one off. Watch this video and tell me when you can't hear blower whine all the time.
-
Like I said watch a video of one.
-
Dude, to fit those tubs you have to cut like 7/8th of the chassis rail away according to the photo you showed me, and to make the coilover bar fit you will need to get tricky, and then you want to c notch the chassis rail as well. All of that is working with shitty factory sheet metal that will make your balls ache, especially if you want it to look half way decent.
-
Also there is no possible way a positive displacement supercharger can cause a restriction. Man, where do you get this rubbish?
-
That person obviously doesn't know what they are talking about, you would never blow through the turbo with supercharger. They are wrong about the s4 too.
-
I don't know how to convince you that turning the super charger off is a bad idea, so I won't try, but read that evo thread and look at the results.
-
I promise you that lancia did not by pass the supercharger. Watch any video of an s4 and you can hear the blower whine all the way through the revs.
-
Also you realise that as soon as you turn the blower off you immediately make the turbo think that the engine has reduced in size by the amount of pressure ratio that the super charger was operating at, this usually results in a torque hole.
-
That first one you posted is from the lancia delta s4, and the supercharger never got switched off.
