  1. heaps of parts worth money if you want to sell some bits shocks struts brakes people building kit cars usually like the hubs etc
  2. this is just what ive found playing with mine i put ke70 struts in my ke3x the top hats have a different pcd spacing- to fix i swaped top hats or redrill the low arms were it bolt to the strut have a different spacing - mine i sloted the hole a little but the right way is to swap the lower arms to match strut another thing to note is the stub axle is a different length so this pushed my wheels out a lil more in your case i would guess it would take them in a lil bit ke70 brakes are bigger then ke30 not by much tho hope that helps another option would be let me take those adjustys off ya hands im in need of some for my ke30 or ke35
  3. at a guess i would say they must have missed a bolt or not removed starter motor somthing silly coz theres not much to the 2y's

  5. right plan is to take this to nats in the photos above it looks way better then what its like today lol plan * fix rust - semi done * find wheels - did this but don't think they gonna work now * find seat rails - DONE * find all missing bits that were stolen off car for other car - MOSTLY DONE * paint - FAIL DIDN'T HAVE TIME * wof reg - DONE * lower to a more ground hugging level - DONE EPIC GROUND HUGGING * take to nats - GOING TO BE DONE all this before nats should i fail i have a back up or 2 in form of a mk2 escort or 55 ranch wagon which both need a few jobs doing next post i will make more intresting with some pics TALK HERE

Oh no dig up from the past and none of the images are working damn so update this car is going to be reciving the 1600 engine back in with the 4 speed box new reg and wof hopfully and then will be up for sale so i can spend some more money on my other projects pm me if ya want more info i will get some new pics and post asap

  11. it would seem that i am all out of tokens will see what happens closer to the day i might be able to do a day trip but not stay my car is also out of action still but might tough the cold and get the worklights out and try get it going we have decided to sell our house to buy one with a 5 car shed which im in need of which means i gotta finish half started reno's to get house listed to get max $$$ so been real busy on there and little time to come on here sadly once house done will be here in full force again for anyone passing through on way there or on way home if ya want to stop in at mine in boom town 0273580471 txt me up
  12. factory yes but i neva had the set up or the wires for it and i had a new gt40 non ballast in shed so wired that in and it ran started mint made it to nats and back
  13. running a GT40 non ballast coil i sprayed start ya barstard down the carb and still nothing no attempt to fire and i tested the spark buy pulling the plugs out pluging them in and sitting them on tappet cover and wound it ova the condenser and points were put on before going to nats could have burnt condenser out i guess
  14. common sence would say i would have but got sick of waiting for tester and hav limited time to work on it at the mo thought doing the head gaskit might fix issues or that once head off might see the problem so pulled it off
  15. don't want to sound dumb but have you checked that the idle cut off valve thing in the carb is opening fully just make sure its getting 12v and when you plug it in and out it clicks
  16. yeah i got my partners old man who is a mech to put them in and set them right so im guessing he did it right
  17. engine still not going pulled head off to replace head gaskit the one that was on there looked like it was fine nothing i could see blown anywere checked cam timeing thats still right checked dizzy timeing thats still right has new points, condenser, dizzy cap, ht lead, all checked and set right havn't finished putting bak it together yet before pulling head off checked rockers there were a little out but not enough to stop it running basicly being a k mota if its got fuel some sort of spark at the right time and compression it should attempt to run but this isn't at all thinking maybe spark is to weak running out of ideas really who knows maybe once its back together it will just go
  18. I pulled the plugs out and going buy the online photo guide there all normal condition then i sat them on the tappet over pluged in and wound it ova could smell fuel coming out holes and could see spark on all 4 never had flooding issues before
  19. im sure ive seen this topic here but when i need it i can't find it so heres my problem i just did a 1300ks road trip to the north island for nats car made it there and back with a few minor issues including starting to over heat on the way home so have put new thermostat in and new waterpump still getting hot thinking maybe headgaskit then it got worse i went to start it to make sure the water was toped up fully and give it a run to see if its losing water as oil is still clear (not creamy) and couldn't see any major bubbles well running in water turned key fired up (from cold hadn't been running today) and as i don't have my choke hooked up yet did its usually coof coof splutter come right then stalled turned the key again and it just winds over with no sign of life at all so have checked for spark has spark at coil and at plugs then checked for fuel and its pumping fuel in at carb engine turns over smooth and everything seems to be moving normal hope to borrow compression tester see what i get back does anyone have any other ideas on what could have happend

  23. lol get lost in blenheim that be a good story i road tested my car in the weekend made it 300km then the radiator exploded and overheated damn so now its fixed given it a lil road test out of town and bak hopfully not ive replaced all the bits that are going to fail
  24. boot lid seal ya say maybe i should put one on wonder if that fix it now any ideas about the miss that comes and goes calm water is good coz last trip i took was 5M swell that is no fun
  25. road test went ok seems to go wheel alignment needs work not best in the wet and exhaust fumes getting in car so window has to stay down donno how they getting in there i drove past ya olds alex you must have heard it as its LOUD am i the only one that gets sea sick in the rough im looking at the weather and wonder what that lil bit of water is going to do
