  1. Gearbox will be slightly different to what was stated with l200 one starter motor position etc... Will be a case of comparing them.
  2. In your case it should just be sorting clutch plates and flywheel then...
  3. Yes that's the right one that will bolt up to block... I'll see if it's the same as l200 as mentioned in earlier post
  4. not sure if this is the same as an l200 gearbox but it can be done... go have a look in http://www.projectzerog.com/ for my mates l200 he got a AWD flywheel machined out a spigot bearing hole and found the smallest l200 clutch available with the correct input shaft. Its not that easy, cos you have to suss out the flywheel and change ring gear and make sure the starter works... also narrow or wide block will be the crucial matter. http://www.projectzerog.com/
  5. oh i dunno how its wired but usually they have 2 other wires ones charge light the other is a 12 v ignition source(apart from the big batt feed), you dont need a charge light but its handy, but re-run the 12v wire directly from the key, this one switches it on or off. Its either that or its a faulty component in the alt.
  6. oh man cant wait to see what this does...
  7. oh yup true, give old sterling a bell, located in onehunga... http://www.sterlingbrake.co.nz/ also depends on what its doing and when, ie does it piss out when pushing pedal in or when releasing the pedal?
  8. just replace the whole unit master cylinder, depending on what car its for and availability... if not then sort the seals out, flush the whole system (brakleen) and put new fluid in at least. also having that fluid going everywhere its a paint stripper so once its sorted make sure you deal to the places its stripped, if its not the master cylinder then check the hose, down to the slave. You'll have new stuff sorted for under a hundy buck.
  9. cheers will crack on with it and see how it goes... hopefully not the cracking part! awesome lads.
  10. hey folks ive heard theres a trick to putting a window back into car with a peice of rope/string but didn't find any decent youtube videos or maybe i didnt look well enuff Any peeps here can chime in on how to do this... Cheers Rob
  11. also when starting the car in P (park) does it make a difference if you try in N (neutral) at all? happens on the middys car and this solves it, the not starting part. Applicable to autos Oil pressure switch wire loose on some cars effects the starting as well.
  12. sweet will do, went and got some new front wheel bearings today, same ones listed for vc ve vf valiants and early toranas so may have a few hub ideas later down the track...
  13. fuck yeah il take that... noone else had a tandy and trailor was headed for the scrap man anyways... wasnt too bad for the little 1.5 donk
  14. not much left that wasn't salvageable... will be getting back into the shell now for some finesse touch ups with the mig... Has anyone got any 1800 slant parts; need bottom pulley and fan/waterpump pulley (or knows if the 2.3 is the same).... keen as for one of those... cheers

  16. maybe not hb, is there much difference in the mounting points? anyways i see now they look to have a raised bit in the middle which these ones dont.... as you were
  17. have a few bumpers as well alex, dunno about if the chrome is of quality or just cheaply done but they are shiney... but nonetheless ive got one here if no go with vivaspeedgeoff... goddam tailgaters... need to activate the smoke screen out of the exhaust system next time so they back off a bit/ fumes all up in their grill
  18. i now know what you mean about the steering wheel facing inwards a bit. Didn't notice till i fitted a racing wheel... draws you into the centre of the car instead of straight ahead from the seat...
  19. do you mean 6 mill pipe to feed fuel rail?
  20. Yes give her a birthday plenty of ks left on this engine. NANAIT.JPG
  21. Test coil and power to coil got a voltmeter or test light? If it has power to coil then trigger would be next piece to check.

  23. just gunna slowly take insides out, then wip the slant out, then il see whats good... i did find that the rotors arent any thicker than my ones in there so but i heard today that a mod to some renault 21 rotors and some head scratching will possibly do the trick... il keep you in mind alex. oh this one has sway bar too so pretty chuffed about that... go away rain....
