  1. Thats the one i was thinking of, prob bout 3 years ago and wasn't interested at the time so don't know anything about it
  2. Have a feeling there is one in cashmere too
  3. They are like skyways but I dunno if they are genuine skyways. either way they've got a few age/stress cracks so no jumps for it! Got the beasty from paint today and put it all back together, have just got back from inaugural ride on new plymouth foreshore, went mint stoked EDIT: pic
  4. I'd be keen on sunday afternoons. Can't make the first one though coz I'll be away next week. Will be good to finally meet some of you guys
  5. My first car was a black 82 Capri S O how I miss it
  6. I'm away this weekend back home in new plymouth, am hopefully finishing building my BMX while i'm there. Will be keen next time though. I have zero skills and my ancient plastic rims won't be up to much but Ill be stoked to roll up and sit on bike looking badass
  7. As far as I know, rear seat belts are compulsory for anything newer than 74
  8. When mum and dad were flatting they lived in the middle of a block of 3 flats. Went to back their 72 muzzy convertible into the shed and couldn't get the roller door down (just). Solution: Kick two holes for tail pipes in the lining of the shed Needless to say the people in the adjoining flats loved it when they would go away on a club run and fire up the v8 at 5am on a sunday morning with the exhausts in the shared wall
  9. dude that thing will be awesome!
  10. Yeah zetec is a pretty sweet idea but a bit involved. I'm doing a zetec anglia at the mo. Build a real screamer of a 1600 would be awesome. I'm not real keen on pintos, they are a bit big/old/heavy for me and zetec will make more power out of the box too
  11. Sounds like a good project! Haven't had a chance to touch my car for ages. Had hoped to get a bit of work done on it over summer but never got a chance to even touch it. The engine in my mustang was making a bit of a tapping noise so I pulled it down and found 2 burnt valves, 1 broken timing chain tensioner and 5 spun bearings! Engine builder reckoned one more thrashing and it would have thrown a rod... Along with that i've been working full time over summer so had no spare time anyway. I've taken measurements of all my suspension points though and I've got a bunch of books and going to get some software and do a proper analysis and redesign the suspension to try and get it to really handle. I'm also toying with the idea of going IRS but we will see about that one. While I've been ordering parts for the mustang engine from the states I thought I would get some bits for the anglia sent over too so I've ordered my Eaton M90 supercharger and a set of R1 quad carbs to get some more horsies from it
  12. Dad had a 92 model RMX250 and loved it but it always had plug fowling problems. Awesome bike for trail riding, really smooth and torquey. Bike seized while warming up on the stand a few years ago after having a thrashing in a stock bike race at speedway. Still sitting untouched in the shed. Now he has a recently imported (japan) 97 model thats like new. Took it for our first trail ride last weekend and he reckons its the best bike he ever had. Dunno why they stopped making them TBH
  13. Was just at the supermarket and saw your car in the classic car magazine. Congratulations! The pictures look awesome! and on the cover next to an F40!!! So you know that issue is gonna sell
  14. nah anglia in sig is not mine, just a pic i found online for inspiration/what it will look like when done. I have the box out of my anglia if you need the selector. Not sure if its the original anglia box though as it had an esky 1300 and the anglias originally have a hydraulic clutch which mine doesn't.
  15. sweet looking car man. I nearly bought a mint GTE last year, still gutted that i missed out on it, I love the mk2's
  16. Tis one of my possible plans for my anglias boosty goodness. M90 under the exhaust and then through either an intercooler in the front or a water charge cooler mounted somewhere.
  17. baseball bat sometimes is a good idea too, you can move the bat out gradually as you go back and forth to get more pull coz the bats are tapered.
  18. EFI LC was that torana at moorhouse muscle a few months back? If so its a really sharp car!
  19. That was well worth the price of admission! To quote my flatmate - "F5000's sound like god stubbed his toe... While on fire" Some great battles between Steve Ross and Kenny Smith. Plenty of Anglia's which was great to see!
  20. actually i can't talk, my OS car is years way from going anywhere
  21. this thread makes me LOL seems every month nobody has a car that goes hahahahaha
