How many terminals do you need? If I have some spares I can courier to you if needed. PS: Man your car has come a long way, love it much. I remember when it was still 4age turbo and 4spd. Should dig up the photos.

I tend to chuck some grease in my hand and then kinda repeatidly tap the bearing into the grease against my palm - forces the grease into the roller bearings so you know its packed properly. No idea if this is an acceptable method but you get quite nicely grubby

Dude, I could listen to you all day - facinated by learning how they work. Have always been a 'autos?! Pfft' kinda guy. Kinda hijacked the thread but meh

House swap holiday? Man I love your truck so so much Can just imagine coming off a snowboard run in bad conditions, walking to carpark, watching everyone else look miserable undressing/packing for drive down, then you just go 'you know, I think a nice cuppa in front of the fire is what I need' and 5mins later thats what your doing. That and first man on the hill for powpow in the mornings. Bad. Ass.

Adjustable RR-FPR ratings and using an aftermarket ecu
Stu replied to 77magnum13hundy's topic in Tech Talk
I always had mine plumbed up as per standard with the vac line. Pretty sure the boost signal pushes down on the diaphram keeping it closed increasing rail pressure. -
Its a very random trans - we think from a late model landcruiser. TOYODIY tells us it doesn't exist. I'm a bit of a novice with auto trans setups so will have to do some reading to understand it all. I like the idea of creating a circuit to control the shifts with buttons, prob a bit tricky to incorporate into 40's era interior but hey, there's harder problems to sort on the truck anyway so add it to the list

+1 for stock reg. If you really want you can add an adjustable reg into the return line from the rail (after stock reg), this way if your running a stock ecu the low load/idle maps will be as per factory and the extra fuel will only come in when your seeing boost. But if your running an aftermarket ecu just run the stock reg and tune to suit. Adj regs can vary a bit over time too so it pays to keep an eye that they're still set the same. Aftermarket ecu best, don't need adjustable reg, just tune to suit. If 4afe/ge cough* 4efte map sensor and injectors on stock ecu *cough -
Yeah this one is already setup with a 5spd auto - just figuring out how to control it. Been looking around at stock toyota autos with a seperate auto ecu. I wire one up for a 7mgte supra a year or two back which seemed to work but finding on with a 5spd box is a pain. What controller will you be using? Havent really looked into aftermarket auto ecu's yet.

Awesome, any chance of some pics of that project? Just tryna get my airride suspension stuff sorted from the states but having a few differculties as the shocks are on back order and i dont think there going to be ready in time for the container that my dads got coming in so im a bit bummed about that Yeah dude, will grab some next time I'm over there. Got the bags already in his one, just sorting out the sump to cross member clearance and then can mount the engine. What trans are you going to run?

Looks awesome dude, keep the updates coming. I'm helping a mate slam one of these engines into a 48 Ford ute so hence my interest

Much like both cars dude. I really love your eye for detail and thats for all of your cars actually. Brendan will have that thing sorted in a heartbeat - good fella young Brendan and it appears you know Glenn too. Small world, both were my grooms men.

Can anyone recommend a good seal sealer? I've welded some extenstions on the the chassis and would like to cover seal up where its welded to the floor. Need very little as they're only 100mm long so if sealer comes in a small blister pack would be good? Cheers Stu
