  1. Add stripper pole and me as your best friend for summer thankz
  2. If its not the blocked jets which would be my first guess too, im going for air leak.. Check for cracks in manifold as im sure Yamaha uses rubber manifolds or possibly a crankcase seal has had it
  3. O fuck should have picked that! Used to have Motobecane Mobylette, like orange one but blue, was rad used to wind start on the pedals and launch off stand at like 180000 rpm and get thrown onto arse. Was good for jumps too Wouldn't do that to yours, too mint. Ebay some points or see what they're the same as cross referenced probably find their the same as Simca 1000, look similar...
  4. Ahahahahaaahahaha used to do so many missions in this very van! Was my mates mother's and used to be so mint you could eat your dinner off the underside Still got the back seats? They saw some hutt girl action..
  5. Hahahaha that guy rules me Sure he's my real dad I vote cork sheet for gas cap too, also is the motor Villiers based? May be easier to find points if you find what model and series the motor is and search that way.. Raleigh definitely didn't make their own in house unit so prob Villiers, JAP or DKW based unit.
  6. This is the most LOL thread yet.... Arc FTW
  7. Check Fanbelt adjustment also, take belt off and see if fan spins freely then remove shims out the middle till belt is tight.. Then sell to me, ta
  8. Rad cheers sounds totally what I want Want to give him my specs, try it on and hear a EXPERT reccomendation......! was having a panic attack at the thought of going to brorepaires or similar and been told "this is what the book says" etc.. Have got back many car's worse over the years, customers cars mostly, took nearly a year to train the local guy out penrose to set up early Jag's as per factory stz at last job. Luckily VW is easily adjustible having cammed balljoints, Jag's of the sixties used hundreds of shims
  9. Okay so after slammin VW in the front and doing tapemeasure wheel alignment, have created understeer world champion.. She's obviously got some mad camber change issues and could have a play and sort, but im off on a hoon to welly tomorrow and theres no power/lights in my lockup at mo, so need someone to helpout tomorrow- or reccomend someone who's ace. Pref in central city or eastern suburbs.. Ta
  10. Not good news mate, it sounds grim has the car used lots of antifreese/corrosion inhibitor in the past? Sounds like the coolant's been forced out by combustion gas.. Skoda's of your age run wet liner motors which are known to come loose if corroded internally Fill it up with chemweld for now You can drain heater by lifting out left rear seat squab and turning tap at base of heater best to remove hoses and lift heater out by unbolting from underneath and put the hose through it and flush the shit out. The heater is the lowest point on their cooling system and need flushing regularly Will track down Skoda club details for ya Unless you just want to sell it to me, could be keen
  11. Nah still lame... Geta Vespa or something rad or walk, would be cooler
  12. Yeah so instead of doing anything productive on my day off I ended up staring at the VW and wishing it lower.. Thank god for torsion bars, especially splined ones So an hour or so later it looked like this- Should have got before shots in the same spot for comparison as it was jacked up american spec sitting on bumpstops in these shots, sitting another half inch lower once I attacked bumpstops with angle grinder Did do some actual work whilst down there, serviced and adjusted steering box, replaced bearings, was going to replace hoses but looks like someone beat me to it recently. Has new calipers, hoses, pads and discs Fuckin stoked, just need a steering damper that isn't so damp, problem with left hook cars- everything is ex states or germany as they are different. Ps what is up with BNT wheel bearing kits having one NSK and one AICHI bearing plus a german seal?? If they wern't ridiculously cheap I wouldn't have had a bar of them.. Give me matching FAG bearings or similar OEM spec Coz I am an anal c*nt Till next time, will sort rear out tomorrow night and fit up repaired exhaust. Ordered typ 3 headers and dual quet (??) pack mufflers from empi, said the'd be four weeks so expect to see in four months hence dodgy bodge of original muffler Also did Wellington and back without a hitch, apart from muffler dissolving on last hundred k's and inbred mofukers jumping on my bonnet on Courtenay pl.. Cheap to run too- bonus
  13. O and fitted one of those 80 kits, what a waste of time ended up goin slower thanks to flat top piston and hemi head you need a special head to run those kits- which no one imports, had to go buy 70 kit with proper piston stupid nips..
  14. Keen to give CDI mish the go ahead, no one has a answer as your CDI is Amstrad spec Pretty sure it would and be huge improvement Then its framechoppin time
  15. Fiat Punto turbo is the fastest 1300 that springs to mind, was banned in its home country due to epic amount of wog fatalities.. Epic easy to tune up aswell Toyota Starlet turbo is prob as fast, but who cares they look like a teste
  16. Thats a four stroke cylinder you Kn00b Nifty 50 has flathead screws for headstuds, is lolspec ancient machines now, best thing to do is flick and start with newer unit the stifty50's were instant seize machines and were expensive as to rebuild for a twostroke thanks to Honda making parts from unobtanium.. Get a Vespa or Lambretta and harden up ( or come see me for lush 150 4 stroke, weld in and attach turb or nitrous etc= win
  17. Will have to get my Gigilo on ya reckon?? Keen Also keen for abandoned factory to claim, any still about?
  18. So have decided to move back to Welly but need to find; Place- close to town, not P town Storage for two cars minimum (And job etc...) Any suggestions? Any lush flats with garage space close to town? Even if you got a flatmate, just turf them out, will be sweet! Otherwise im on tardme finding a flat, yay for flat politics and living with killjoy's etc
  19. Standard 4 spd with auto diff ratio is all good, used to roll that in Mk1 for ages when diff blew makes motorway cruising a breeze. Overdrive is still awesome If ya gunna roll J-type overdrive, find the internals out of the P-type found in Volvos and fit them for epic strong trans will do skids with overdrive engaged swt as..
  20. O and went for pre warrant warrant check today... Epic fail. need a new mig roll and shocks with shock left in them, will be rollin D plate this weekend
