  2. sooo potentially Passing through Woodenville in the evening on thurs night? Might hook in on this
  3. DIY? as they are out that's the easiest way to do them (seen / played with tint like that before, no issue trimming edges then to me that's the hard part
  4. was having nightmares this was on the same weekend as Nat's but nope, just 4&Rotaries at Manfield hard choice!
  5. reports are saying this has been canned because the grounds are unsuitable to drive on? can you confirm @BillyTong?
  6. http://www.hbbritishandeurocarclub.co.nz/ speaking of which is anyone a 'member' of them OR the Hawke's Bay Vintage Car Club as well? (edit I see your name on the New list lol @BillyTong) http://www.hbvcc.org.nz/ they take cars up to 1986 ya know.... (read their newsletter & they get group discounts for the Picton Ferry too)
  7. if the picture or the text ever dissapears here's a copy Paste of probably what is already on these forums but thought was pretty relevant so I'm sharing here
  8. Rain check but one day maybe I'll come for a look! but ya get the gist of it eh, some of us are pretty 'like' hungry & will share the most intimate details of their build . life on the internet without a second thought of the impact, i know because of some of the car projects I have detailed over the past 10 years, then again the car diary has saved me recently too after a buy thought I said it was one thing & turned out to be another, but i had it in writing from about 3 years earlier as the correct thing /soz spam but yea no getting power supply from a sensor is definitely not ideal bit like headlights & the supplied diagram above, its own 'feed' is better, relays & fuses are betterer & yea something secret might even save your ride one day as they are still pretty easy to target & becoming more desirable these days for some reason & reasonably still easy to 'rebirth'
  9. not trying to be an egg but that's neat way to tell the world / forum your cars 'features' (a few clicks & bet we could find what your cars look like in the projects section? sure yea its nice to help but a little paranoia goes a long way eh
  10. Things wernt begin captive in the rear since I swapped out the diff so nabbed the shocks to match top set had been in it since I bought it & had never been an issue til now shorter (proper) shock on the bottom i out of an 80's Chrysler Avenger but noticeably an improvement straight away also nah could not be arsed tidying them up, she'll be right : or I'll buy actual new shocks next time
  11. your ignition counts as a cut-off switch, so yea anything off that is pretty much fine
  12. ahh then no problem, soz skim read you post a bit & thought you said had 'no log book' nah you should have no issues with that
  13. oooh I'm thinking not really, best hope is to find ANY sort of identification to 'reprint' or regain the original logbook from MSNZ (chassis stamped numbers anywhere? I had something similar with my Avenger when I obtained it it was an existing cage 'reshelled' but not up to the new spec's (80's spec main hoop etc) I might / will likely be wrong or corrected but those are my thoughts & experience with that sort of matter
  14. oh lol funny not funny sorry & yea nah electrickery aint that 'direct' any electrolysis will be in the entire liquid not just between the poles (I am fairly sure of this but not 100% Positive)
  15. related : I also have a 80's thremette I will bring it to Nats tho I suspect there is a "light no fires" rule, perhaps a show & shine to for with rocker cover racing?
  16. OK so not quite OS but my other favourite forum / club is turning 20 this year so they will be holding a Trackday & other events over the weekend of 21-22-23rd of April little old Subaru Forum that goes by www.ClubSUB.org.nz more info on there & if you cant find it just ask I know there's a bunch of cross-over people here on OS and over there on CS and then there's just some who might enjoy a Track-day & chin wag, definitely a different vibe / crowd all welcome & a Subaru is not a pre-requisite as I'll most likely be rolling the Avenger up for this Jared link from our FB page
  17. hah no worries thought that might be the "case" ps mates still hunting engine mounts for his Marina seeing as you mentioned it too
  18. 40mm out is only 20mm in one direction to correct it, unless its meant to be there?
