  1. A good way to check if it is indeed a turbo block, is if its got oil squirters at the bottom of the bores.
  2. With a 185/60/14 beside a 195/50/15, I wouldnt think there would be much different in size at all. The 50 profile would accommadate for the bigger rim. Have you put them side by side? Id stick the 15" wheels on the front and the 14"s on the back so it looks like you got burnout bickies on. Not to popular with the cops tho.
  3. Sweet. Should be a piss arse easy conversion. Except for the wiring. I hate wiring! The Devils Spaghetti!!!
  4. Yeah o know, but id feel like a bit of a "Join in" with no car. I do like a good burgerfuel tho!
  5. Man!!! Wish my car was ready. Id like to meet some of you cunts. Ah well, there will be other tuesdays.
  6. Dude, wanna come over and finish my car?! Non-stop! looking REAL good man. Gives me motivation (Kinda)
  7. Yeah, I saw it during that period. Not too long ago. Thought to myself, shit thats an old Chev!
  8. Pretty sure ive seen this in the sunny city of papakura. Awesome car dude. Is this the oldest ride on oldschool?
  9. Well I can confirm that.........................the steering box made no difference. They both had the same turns lock to lock.
  10. Yeah, that is a big change! Ill bolt it up and give it a test, and will confirm.
  11. Not the one i got. Maybe it got raped before it reached me?
  12. You'd hope so! Yeah, ill give it a go. Just couldn't be arsed swapping the 2 boxes over
  13. Howdy Stubbled upon a spare steering box i kept from my old GSR EX Lancer, and compared it to the one in my 1200 EX Lancer. Little difference. Just wondering if anyone knows IF there is any difference at all between the two. Does size really matter in this aspect? The photo is a bit deceiving, but they are similar in size. Any help would be CHOICE!
  14. What about a tunnel rammed 1UZ?? 2x 4barrels stickn out ya bonnet! My holden 5lt sounded awesome. It only had a flowmaster muffler cut at the diff. 308/304's can be a very revvy engine when you throw some money at them. Alot of "off the shelf" parts. The aussies love putting two hairdryers on these engines and getting good results too. 1000+ bhp
  15. WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRR............PIIIIIISSSSSHHHHH!!!!!
  16. Haha, thats just what i was about to ask. There's probably perfect method behind the madness! I LOVE what you've done to your gnarly starley, so this WILL be the poo!!!
  17. Would be able to get away with using 5mm spacers? Quick, cheap fix, but not legal (I dont think)
  18. Mate of mine had an original VL Turbo. Impressed the pants off me. Then it got stolen. ASSHOLES!
  19. Stink about your dad bro! Hope all is well
  20. Looks tu meke bro!!! All you need to do now is pull the springs out aye?! Nah, good shit man. Envious!
  21. Hey bro You mite wanna look at this article. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7862 Theres HEAPS of info on this sorta thing. Quite a popular and easy conversion (if you have the tools/cash!) I cant speak for 79' Lancer. Lowlancer or Caboonatlarge or Fuel. They are the masters of Mitsubishis!!!
  22. Whats it like with the 300mm springs in it with the shorter insert? Did you try? You mite have no more height adjust left but atleast you know it was good with the nut wound all the way down. And with the shorter insert, surely it would keep the spring captive. But i know what you mean, i dont quite get it myself
  23. ME TOO! Ive got the same issue as Ke36. Id like to know as well, where keeper springs can be purchased, and a rough ball park price.
  24. My 1200 had 155/R13. Pretty dicey at high speeds!
