  1. Any North Shore-ites attending? I am unable to attend due to a test Thursday morning but would like a carby collected from a very patient Waikato member
  2. How bright are those tail lights? I became aware when riding my old street magic that bikes stop lots faster than cars, wouldn't want some woman doing her makeup to not see it.. Looks heaps better though.

I read somewhere recently that now when you revin an old vehicle you can keep the old plates, True or false?

A few of the bits and Bob's that came with it. I'm sure that some of the other things like one of the back footpegs used to be there but are lost to the grey lynn garage.

Cheers guys. Yeah, it's better than I was expecting/remembering to be honest. It's not seized, it was turning over and making nice popping noises while I was wheeling it down the driveway. Yeah, I got the manual, I'm real excited to get into it now. 3 weeks to go!

So Yeah, picked this up today after wanking all over the forum about it It's been sitting in a damp garage for more than 20 years. No one can remember why, but it wasn't going when it was left there. It has since had a few parts robbed for my cousin's other one (that got stolen circa '95) or just gone missing. Still has it's old black plate and all the lights etc but is missing the expansion chamber, rear brake cable and a few other bits and bobs. I've ordered a second hand chamber from Ebay. Wheeling it down the drive today I couldn't get it to go in neutral and it still seemed to have pretty ok compression (which made wheeling it pretty hard). Now it just needs a strip down to see what the problems are. Hopefully get underway with that after exams finish on the 9th. The plan is to restore to ok condition, revin and then use it as a street legal dirtbike (duh). Blue smoke errday.
  7. Have you done that rear upgrade Frosty? Got pics? Would be interested to know more. I have the same setup in my SA60g.
  8. These are great, have a half dozen at work (building site) and they get used allll the time. So handy being able to attach them to a saw horse/the wall/sit on the floor etc etc etc.
  9. I'd be demanding a refund already. NOS means new old manufacturer made stock, not cheap repro shit from Thailand. It's bullshit that they are selling repro as NOS.
  10. But Sunday kills Lake Rd into Devonport. Will be trying to make meet, depends when my parts runs are scheduled.
  11. Bah, false alarm. It's just the contacts in the solenoid. Drove the car home after a tap with a hammer. Wimmenz etc.
  12. Quick question: are there differences? Sounds like the starter in the Mrs' ae100 may have died, can I get a starter from any fwd 4a? Or any 4/5afe? Does anyone around north/west/central ak have one for sale? Cheers, would like to get this sorted ASAP as she'll have to drive my car for work.
  13. I hope to see you driving around blasting that exact song with all the windows down. Fucken baws.
  14. You will need: Gearbox Clutch Slave cylinder Clutch line Master cylinder Manual Brake Pedal Clutch pedal Appropriate interior (if you want it tidy)
  15. Hope you got sedan ones, not hardtop Monsoon shields made a huge difference on my X7, well done.
  16. Awesome, fully jammed out to that shit ^ I have a pair of these that need fixing: May have to wait until I have a car with a parcel tray though.
  17. Would potentially be keen on storage of spare parts on mezzanine. Am thinking spare rear 1/4 panel and a few other bits and pieces that I hope I'll never need that are occupying work space atm.
  18. You should be able to hit up the golf course for whatever it costs to fix that. My father in law's van got hit by a stray ball off a local course, the club didn't even bat an eyelid. "Take it to the panel beaters and send us the invoice".
  19. Haha, if you're ok with being driven around in my smelly station wagon
  20. Gracias Senor. I'm not going to tell anyone they have to use me for plumbing. I am also advertising for more than just plumbing.
  21. Happy to do either. I'm not qualified, but am pretty competent. I know the rules regarding bathrooms etc and am perfectly capable of doing a full pipe out from scratch. Again, I won't take it on if it's too hard for me. That being said, I understand that a lot of people aren't comfortable with an unqualified person doing their plumbing. I don't touch hot water cylinders or drainage.
  22. Depends a bit. Concrete floor? Nothing is impossible, I've done a couple where I've had to break chunks out of the slab. It's pretty expensive though. Where is he? Could go for a look or give him a buzz or something. Like I said, happy to yarn with cunts about bathrooms.
