Im cleaning up an engine that looks like its lived at the beach and the intake,rocker covers etc are in pretty bad shape. Whats the best was to clean them up? I want to repaint the rocker covers the get them looking nice.

If you go Fe3n it would pay to look around to try find the type with the better cams and hi comp pistons. I had a 4wd capella wagon that used for a conversion into a mazda bongo. I was surprised how well the capella went for a heavy wagon.

Could run a w56 from an Estima/Lucida sorta van. They always turn up at PAP

You can use SOHC Fe bits on Fe3 engines all the block castings are the same. FWD or RWD bits work so you get a few options on where to mount the alternator, sump/pickup etc

Fe3 would be my pick, get one from a Kia sportage if you want it already setup for RWD

These things seem to always appear at TGA pickapart seen a couple of turbro ones there once but usually when I lift the bonnet there only a DE engine/ I know of a SSS-X local thats growing moss on someones lawn

Im keen for everything from the radiator through to the bellhousing with clutch and flywheel loom ecu all the intake etc Was supposed to be a 5mge but turned out to be a 1g and the price is good. It looks well gone haha

Anybody keen to check out a celica supra for me? Its has a 1g-ge and have been in storage, it turns over fine so should still be a runner. Just want someone to have a quick look over it make sure the engines alright as thats mainly what Im after and take a few photos to email me as the guy isnt on the net
