  1. Sorry I was meaning price wise
  2. Whats the going rate for a set of mk1 struts with brakes? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =209769105
  3. Reason I thought i'd go for mk1s is that everything else should bolt up fine? Mk2s being metric I heard you have to make up new brake hoses to go from metric to imperial, so would going for mk1 struts mean this cost would be avoided? Will look into the m16s you speak of and compare to the struts I have an eye on. Thanks anymore info appreciated
  4. Decided to drag this thread up as I want some info on mk1 struts, but my small question doesn't need a whole thread. I have drums all around and may in the future look at putting discs on the front if the drums don't cut it.... So will mk1 disc brake struts bolt in place of mk1 drum struts with no mods? If yes, anyone in chch have some struts/discs/calipers lying around they will sell for cheap? Don't need shocks. Cheers
  5. Would depend how wide they are really. The wider the rim the more chance they will stick out. I'm pretty sure however that if you tried a 7" 40p (or similar) on the car and checked guard clearance, and had 20mm guard clearance, then a 7" 25p rim should sit 15mm further towards the guard if that makes sense. Without touching the guard. I think thats how it works.
  6. mint pics I'm guessing the tourists getting owned bit is them getting blocked in there
  7. Enough room there? What about over the bridge just past the sailing club, in that car park?
  8. How welcome would a new school car be? None of my oldschool rides are on the road Repowered can vouch for me having a couple of oldschoolers tho (Bling)
  9. Cheapest option is probably hire a car trailor and do it yourself. Paying anyone else to do it will usually cost $$$$ more
  10. I thought it was pretty good aye, found a few sets of sweet rims, but car was parked quite far away so settled on a pair only as cbf carrying that much pair of 3 piece volks for 40 bucks grabbed some indicators and fender mirrors etc too. Spent just as much on food and drink tho depended on what kinda stuff you want I guess.
  11. did ya end up going? only just saw this post now but fuck the swapmeet was mint
  12. terrible aye!!! and by the time you start getting somewhere.... you're at limiter and having to change up a gear and get stuck in the low revs again
  13. What you plan to tow? The more cc the better for towing really. As a general rule. a 2L isn't going to happily tow all that much with ease
  14. Never had any problems with WOF checks there. Firm but fair.
