Was expecting to lose some bottom end... but I got absolutely nothing up top. Reckon its just the factoryish exhaust limiting peak flow and strangling the top end? it looks like a fairly sweet bit of pipework and bending (and pretty new) except its wisper quiet so the muffler must be a heap of crap. Anyone ever seen an M90 on one of these with suckthrough carb?

a scratch start tig is the worst abomination on the face of the planet. the first thing you have to do before you start welding with one is fuck your electrode. i fucking hate them. a few tries and Iv had no further issues using one of the scratch start ones we have at work. just gotta be patient. the biggest bastard is the manual gas knob.

http://performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67216619-2JZ-head-porting/ IMO I would exhaust ( pun not intended but I'll take it) all other options before spending loads if doh on head porting. they already flow enough for more than what he will probably be able to use realistically and they are not poor flowing heads stock compared to other engines out there. remember it has two extra cylinders to breath through for a given hp than a 3s. just IMO. I had a tt supra and head porting was the last thing needed from the research I did.

agree! what did it cost to have the casting done? you just made the plug? I'd never have thought if taking engine mounts that far, simply awesome.

If this wasn't so expensive it'd be perfect for going on a truck chassis. Theres a second one on tm for like $140!!
