the alternator on my golf won't kick in until I rev the crap outta it..around 4.5K rpm and night driving is dropping my volts down to just below 13V. Now i've spent a bit of time today going through replacing earth wires, cleaning connections etc but still no joy.. any advise for someone who totally hates working with wiring???

There's a get together at Lyttleton Coffee Co. every sunday morning 8-10 for pre'76 cars. We've been getting a variety of cars showing up and pretty much just sit round and talk cars, drink coffe and they also have a great feed available.

I've got a '91 Passat GT thats had the running gear removed but there's still a heap of useful stuff. I know its a bit late model but who knows? Its off to the scrappers this week but if you wanna grab anything let me know PM or 021980665

I was talking with wayne the other day as i'm scratch building a new car and basically was told nothing at all below the scrub line... scrubline being the line drawn around the vehicle at the bottom edge of the rims!

B1600 into econovan??? Can anyone confirm that a B1600 diff will fit a ford econovan?? cheers

I gotta agree, we always etch prime first then skim with bog....remember that bog can absorb moisture so yoou don't want that shit next to your bare steel!!

After sanding and before paint wipe the whole car down with prepsol or similar. This removes any silicon that may be present, wether you know it or not!!....If you don't clean off any silicon it will make the paint look like shit!......also some lacquers don't need a clear, I have a Porsche orange on my car and they never used a clear with that.
