  1. New wheel bearings on the RV. Waiting on a box of bits to try get the motor running and then will decide if it's a eastcape job or just take the ol faithful.
  2. Handy work bench to clean the underside
  3. Stripped the wellside down today and started hitting the deck with the wire wheel to see what horrors were hidden. Cancer has set in along the front seam, some holes in the front corners of the deck, and another small hole near the back, but other than that it's just a bit scabby. The outside is solid, and tailgate had a few dents and bog but overall not too bad. Have been chipping off oodles and oodles of paint (must have been a painters ute at some point). Will get the rust sorted and then hit the inside of the deck with bedliner. Will clean and underseal and underside and wheel wells, and then get the outside painted to match the the body.
  4. Nah. Double cabs are dumb. We all know none of us have friends, so why waste valuable tray space
  5. Crikey, sounds like it's lucky you've still got front teeth!
  6. Goals. Found a canopy but it had already been dibsed so hoping sale falls through.
  7. Currently sorting out rear brake parts for wof, and then the stars aligned and managed to find one of these! Pretty excited. It's got a bit of cancer and needs a good tidy up and paint obviously but solid base and worth the effort.
  8. Fuck yeh this is awesome. Random question. With the front fork, I understand why the axle is where it is (to get some offset/trail or whatever the proper term is). Did you consider mounting the axle on the front/forwards of the fork to achieve the same offset but not run such an angle on the forks? Most rigid forks I've seen (where the axle is generally in line with the forks) have a sweep in them so the angle at the crown is more or less parallel with the steerer but the sweep gives the offset. Just wondering how that angle at the crown will go when you huck it to flat. Maybe that's what they mean when they say huck up pray haha. Or I've just not looked at enough rigid bikes and this is normal.
  9. I have an rv50 in parts that I was planning on building up. But I also have my v50 that's a proven ADV bike. So I'll continue telling myself that I'll build the rv50 but then just turn up on the v50.
  10. Let's keep this thread on topic team, cheers!
  11. Meet is tonight, special guest apperance is on the cards from @fletch so it's worth turning up
  12. Hey campers @TimShadboltfan27 @Mitch.W etc, whats the guts with camping spots for the two main nights?
  13. This months CJC vs OS meet will be Thursday 29th July 7pm at the Cock and Bull (Maui St in Te Rapa)
  14. I was the ? haha. I clicked afterwards who you were (while I was waiting in line for a hot dog) so apologies for not saying hi, I just figured it was some random that knew geophy.
  15. Pretty keen to join the tent gang this time around. Booking accom is too much admin tbh
  16. Have you tried being an adult about it and asking the shop to please explain? Or is that beyond society today? /Rant
  17. It's a diesel, no dose lol. Already has straight pipe exhaust
  18. Almost snuck through not needing a brake fade test either! But looks like it has more than 20% power increase (only just though, 93 to 125hp).
  19. PS, this is actually me right now
  20. Just had a read of the relevant material you linked to. I like the changes they have made (not just because it means I don't need hoops) but appears sanity has prevailed in terms of two piece shafts where the bearing hanger can be considered a hoop. Well done team.
  21. Whaaaaaaaat! That's the best news I've heard in a long time. Thanks for chipping in xoxo
  22. @KKtrips Don't excite me like that. It doesn't put out 50% more power but I believe because it has a churbro added it meets the requirement for needing hoops (and the gloria never came out turbo, so can't make use of that loophole either). I'd love to be told otherwise though!
