  1. Pictureless update sorry, phone died. Not super exciting anyway. New clutch kit arrived, fitted new release bearing and checked clutch and pressure plates are correct (they are, yay). chucked flywheel onto new motor, just needs torquing up then can fit clutch etc. So the new motor has holes drilled for two dipstick tube locations, with a plug (looks like brass) in the unused one. I need to chuck the dipstick tube from the old motor into the plugged hole in the new motor, and then block up the other one. Does anyone know of these are just pressed in/can i knock it out? And then do i just get angry with the dipstick tubes and pull them out? Also swapped oil pickups over, as the turbo motor is a different sump (which is why dip sticks need swapping over as well) so the old sump fits. need to find a gasket/reuse the old one with some goo and then can fit that. answer my silly queztions here please
  2. Have been tinkering away, some parts on their way (new clutch kit, cam belt, water pump etc). Need to try and find some engine mounts that will work (cant find any listings funny enough, anyone have a catalouge with dimensions?). Need to move dipstick tube/fit one from old motor in the right spot). And find a handy dandy engineer/machinist to modify some oil lines for me. Thats about it really. Then chuck in back in the hole and hope it works.
  3. Negatory. It was so effortless we forgot.
  4. And adult supervision arrived and advised me that the exhaust also needs to be detached haha, thanks Al! Nek minute
  5. Progress! Pulled this be front off the car and removed radiator ect to clear up some space. Have unhooked everything on the motor (I think) so it's pretty much ready to pull out. Have removed alternator, intake and a/c since the photo. Might wait for adult supervision to pull the motor out.
  6. Cert covers everything that has been done. If you change something (that would require cert or void the existing cert) then you need new cert. So to answer your questions,
  7. Google says does hunnitz in straight line
  8. Haha all good man, not your fault the house is a sack of shit. Assume the rest of the trip went by without too much drama?
  9. Suits me. Barts got one of his little girls with him so perhaps at my place so she can head off to bed etc? I don't know how kids work haha
  10. I've got a bed out in Jville you're welcome to. Will be watching/streaming the game no doubt haha
  11. /put camper on back of ute like Denham did. super grot.
  12. So I got around to compression testing this thing which didn't quite go as planned. Long story short I wasn't able to get enough juice to it (via jumper leads from a running car) so it was pretty sluggish to turn over and it wasn't cranking fast enough to build decent compression (Putting my finger over an open glow plug hole was enough to slow it down haha). Would get zero on a cylinder, then try again one same cylinder and get like 200 then try again and get zero again. One take out was that all cylinders seemed to behave the same and no obvious signs of one being worse than the others. So that said have decided to commit to chucking it in and hope for the best. Watch this space.
  13. Sta still has them on their website listed in stock (on the off chance you hadn't looked haha)
  14. Plus you shouldn't be going camping to watch god damn TV...blardy kids these days
  15. Yeh nah they won't work but thanks for looking! Keen to grab those bolts of you come across them (will only be temporary loan)
  16. Yep yep m12x1.25. Spacer will likely not fit but worth a shot anyway if I'm grabbing some bolts. Will just use washers if not haha
  17. Managed to get it all bolted up proper, apart from the flex plate. Couldn't find any bolts the right size (but have made the centre bore the right size). Starter and teeth on the flex plate look to line up which is good. Might need to play with the plate spacing from the crank but that's easy enough (bearing in mind this setup is purely for cranking the engine for a Comp test, will be using the real parts from the old motor so will all bolt up perfectly)
  18. Minor progress. picked up a rb30 auto box and whipped the front housing/bell housing off and it bolts up to the rd which is good (internet never lies) and starter motor bolts up to. Next is to modify the l series flex plate Ky gave me (to bolt to crank, needs the centre bore made bigger) or find a cheap/free rb flywheel or flex plate so I can bolt it all up and comp test. Seems like a heap of work but I'd rather do it now and keep the wagon going than pull old motor out, fit this one and find its proper fucked.
  19. Google says 4x114.3 https://www.wheel-size.com/size/honda/rafaga/1994/
