  2. Sorry i had to shoot off early... would loved to have stayed longer...
  3. sweet well i've got a haircut booked at 11 in albany so i'll be there with my screwed bonnet at 12ish
  4. i use oil pressure and oil temp in the 205, oil pressure when cold i sky high when at idle like 70+ psi and drops to around 30 when warm. oil temp takes a good while to warm up - typically as above when cold and just idling it will take 10 min or so to start to really get above 70^c
  5. heheh... hopefully only the front wheels...
  6. The 205 leaks so this is my excuse to "dry" it out.....
  7. what time are most people thinking about being there?
  8. 12 is good for me as i'll have people rocking over for dinner stuff at 3 and need ot get home and do stuff...
  9. Just had to do the glow plugs in the 406 - 3 where burnt out completely (no heat what so ever when connected directly to the battery) and the 4th was shagged (after 7 seconds connected to the battery you could still touch it and feel it was warm) Wonder how long I'd been starting it on 1 glow plug for...
  10. might be able to make it with the 205 if you like?
  11. Don't forget the main hoop min dia. changed at x-mass... you will need to measure it to make sure it still complies.
  12. Furia - if you see a silver peugeot 205 there come over and say hi, it will be me.
  13. Haha right... I've got sig's turned off - that might be why... Now I remember you! Nice to meet ya... See ya at the autocross for more skidtastic fun!
  14. Got around to fitting the spotlight blanks: Before: After: And managed to win the Motorkhana by 2.23 seconds that was head earlier this month...
  15. A lot of events like the hillclimbs, bent sprints, dual sprints, etc... Typically require the clubsport lic. There are places like stm that run non Motorsport nz sanctioned events also. They tend to be the track based events - much like private trackdays. This is how the drifting events started, if I remember correctly.
  16. Your doing that? What are you doing it in? I won the Motorkhana in the 205 last month! The Autocross is fantastic amounts of fun! You don't need a clubsport lic if it's your first 2 events. To get a clubsport lic you need to be part of a MSNZ affiliated club (tons around and costs vary from $10 to $100's). Clubsport lic is $60 a year. http://fiatcarclub.co.nz/ Portfolio: http://fiatcarclub.co.nz/wp-content/upl ... ticles.pdf Series Entry Form in pdf format: http://fiatcarclub.co.nz/wp-content/upl ... ank-12.pdf Series Entry Form with Drop Down fields: http://fiatcarclub.co.nz/wp-content/upl ... -downs.doc Autocross Supp Regs Pt 2: http://fiatcarclub.co.nz/wp-content/upl ... egs-12.pdf Autocross Entry Form: http://fiatcarclub.co.nz/wp-content/upl ... ank-12.pdf Autocross Entry Form Drop Downs: http://fiatcarclub.co.nz/wp-content/upl ... -downs.doc
  17. I think it's the best rally watching spot in NZ

Just a few select photos from the first day... Gifs to come later!
  19. Citroen? Cit or Pug gearboxes should spin the way you want i think. I've got 2 under my house doing nothing if you want to play.
  20. Just about every pug has the exhaust at the back and intake at the front. Brad - It's prity common to cut and weld the mi16 manifold as its too long when putting it into the 205. I'm sure you could find a second hand manifold that would help in reducing the height of the manifold while retaining a factoryish setup. The 206 gti180 manifold has the plenum under the runners with the throttle body mounted lower. Would it be possible to locate a cheap manifold that you could cut and weld onto your flange face. Could you also maybe put a wedge plate onto the flange face to angle the manifold downwards more? manifold i.e.: Peugeot 307 Peugeot 206gti180: Small Chadesc bonnet mod?
  21. i mean as in the biggest problem... why is it a big problem?
  22. Bit of an update: Found a couple nice little bits that will be ordered this year from a UK company called Bridgecraft Engineering - blurb from the 306 forum: "Our main line of business is manufacturing aerospace components for the likes of Rolls Royce and Pratt and Whitney, as well as various forms of motorsport including F1 and MotoGP. We have an ever growing range of Peugeot related parts which have been developed on Martin’s 306 track car and my own 309 and 205. We never really intended to market any of our parts but due to the increasing interest we thought it'd make sense to list a few of our products for you all to see." Should help with a few things. Bridgecraft Roll-Centre Kits:£95 plus p+p. The price will also include an abrasive stone that can be used in a hi-speed gun drill to chamfer your hubs. The main body is cnc machined in house from EN24T and gives 30mm of correction. The full kit consists of the main body, laser cut side braces, zinc coated hi-tensile bolts, washers and nyloc nuts. The kit is per car so theres two sets of everything. Bridgecraft Bump Steer Reduction Kit: £100 kit only 2x high quality rose jointed TRE, 2x EN24T sleeved spacers and washers, High tensile bolts and nyloc nuts This kit requires the TRE taper in the hub to be accurately drilled out to 16mm. They also do a couple other nice little bits like: - Negative camber rear arms: £175 - Machining of your trailing arms and fitting of new EN24T stub axles to give -3 degrees of negative camber. - Negative camber front hubs: £140 - We can modify 205/309/306/405/406 front hubs to give any amount of negative camber you require. ---------------------------------------- Some progress on the blanking plates for the spot lights that a friend is helping with and took some pics of his progress... You can see how it's going to extend past the spotlight hole blanking the complete hole. Once the skin gets applied it should look something like this -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Front sub-frame is all now nicely welded up (except for the sections I did) It's sounds a lot more solid when it bangs on the ground and dosn't really feel any heavier.... It looks like it was basically 4 sections of 3mm thick steel spot welded in a few places so based on the feedback from those overseas that have done it already it should stiffen up the front end a fair bit. We have reinforced the control arm mounting points a fair bit with extra welds. no pics of mine but it's like this:
  23. I'm running sump guard, but it's not really designed for undercar aero, more so being a skidplate to protect the sump. I need to retain some compressive travel in the shocks so slamming isn't really an option. Spencer in some corners i get this low:
