  1. finally got some time to do a little more on extractors. theres no room under car. so runners go forward and loop back under to gain some length. trying to keep everything even as possible. took it around puke last weekend. was pretty hilarious in the rain.
  2. started on new extractors. current ones are 4-2-1 and tuned to lower/midrange. so don't work so great with the cam's. plus they are a bit hagard. progress so far: gonna also slide the engine accross 10mm or so, to the exhaust side, before i start mocking them up on car. witch will gain me some more room for airfilter / intake. easy the way the engine is mounted.
  3. yup, quality is pretty shit though. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v178/ ... C_0014.jpg keen as to have a go on the track, i'l try make next trackday.
  4. devcon like the rotary guys use, if it can last awhile in that situation. surely it will be ok in an inlet manifold if done right. if its 360 degree around the runner and has a decent surface it grab onto. should be ok only other way would be welding it as spencer said. but would be pretty hard to get in there with a welder. show us some pics
  5. bad ass. the inlet runners, are you going to trim a section of the tube out. to taper them down to the inlet ports?
  6. got some more of this stuff to machine new trumpets from, test run on the old variable slides, 1.5 deg taper, big bellmouth. new ones will be 2 peice to hold air filter backing plate
  7. machined the front part of the pulley off as its not needed + brake reso relocator plate, to make room for filter
  8. since rebuilding thought i better put an air filter on it so it lasts awhile, will mod the fiberglass duct to fit around it. plus blacktop flywheel
  9. got this yesterday. gonna rebuild with hi com pistons and use my 16v head on it.
  10. think the ae86 quick rack was 20 or 30mm longer. so should be sweet if you throw one of those in it.
  11. you can use a quafie ae86 quick rack, in the kp or ke70 housing. the quafie rack is longer than the kp rack. so will give extra lock, if your using the kp rack. not sure on the ke70 rack though. probably find its the same length as the ae86 one. can make spacers ect to extend the rack if you need too though. be carefull though as you may upset the suspension geometry. if you wack in a rack that its quite a bit longer. edit: using ae86 (or probably ke70) rack in kp housing would give more lock. but would be slow turning
  12. epic service / i don't have anything better to do. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v178/ ... _0007a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v178/ ... _0004a.jpg
  13. that would be sweet could i ask something of you? im trying to nut out if my front struts in my kp are the correct ones as they seem way to high could you measure the height of them form the bottom of the spring to the stub axle? would be sweet if you could do that cheers jarred have some standard struts rolling around on garage floor somewhere, if you need measurements sooner.
  14. choice, where did you get those threaded sections? chop some more coils out of the back!

    6 cyl on ITB's...

i had mine setup with the 4d mapping on the link to start with. map with tps overlay. worked ok. but switched back to tps only in the end. my map signal was a bit shit and doing strange things to the afr. ive almost got the numbers maxed out in parts of the accel clamp table. just keep winding it up till it feels good. keen for grudge
  16. 14.6 diff mods seem to have worked as it was getting good traction off the line. had thoughts of putting a turbo on it, but think i'll just rebuild it. maybe with some higher comp pistons. current engine is getting a bit tired

what ecu are you running? i just wound heaps of throttle enrich into mine. fixed the problem.

    6 cyl on ITB's...

one thing that may not be so good, with the massive ports and silvertop throttles. is the low velocity area it'l leave at the port. my understanding of the best setup is, to slowly taper the inlet runner down from the bellmouth, to the port. witch will give you hi velocity at the port/ valves, increasing cylinder fill. going too big on the throttle size shouldn't matter too much. but throttle size silghtly bigger than the ports would be best option as you can mount them close to ports to increase throttle response while keeping a good taper. going bigger would mean moving them further from ports. loose a little throttle response and driveablity (depending on throttle linkage setup) but should not effect power at all, if taper and runner lenghths are same. running something big enough for the likes of a 1g or big port 4ag ports, maybe getting a little silly tho and yeh will suck on stock ecu as others said. tune with tps vs rpm is all good. long as you have plenty of rows in fuel map at light throttle
  19. was a pretty choice day. managed a 14.6 in the end. after snapping the throttle linkage on the first run, then fixing it with a file and a cross threaded nut and bolt
  20. looks fuckn choice on those wheels man
  21. always fill my t50 that way as well
  22. as others said. i'd be looking at the diff backlash first.

    .

yeh 6.5" fit easy. ive had 7" rims on mine with 205's on them
  24. 195/45 hankooks. they are pretty small! rims are 14 x6.5 work excels
  25. case shortening, plus redone the 4 link mounting points to move the diff back a little and add some adjustment rear brakes are, s13 rotors and the same ae92 calipers that was on it before, plus new brackets made. remade the exhaust today as the old one was 20mm from the ground! after lowering more and the 195/45 tyres.
