  1. So over the last few months I probably put another 1000km of daily duties and exploring . Then I had a big upcoming ride for Heyholes Stag party which was gonna be the Molesworth Rainbow loop but due to fire risk that was closed and Blizzo came up with a new route. Before the ride I changed the oil and spark plug and chucked on a new rear tyre and gave the bike a good check over. Packed up my spares and tools into my new 20L drybag and a 5L fuel can and headed off last friday morning with my mate Brent on his old Transalp. We rode to Culverden then headed up the Inland Kaikoura rd and had a much deserved beer and feed before he headed back to Hanmer Springs. I carried on up the coast and stayed at my folks place in Renwick. Brent showed me a few gravel back roads on the Inland Kaikoura rd and I clocked up 380Km that day. The next day I left my folks at 8am and headed up the Wairau Valley knowing the Wellington lads on bigger bikes would catch me leaving from picton a little earlier and we met half way up the Valley and cruised up into some twistys. My bike died suddenly but was a quick fix as the coil wire plug had just popped off. Carry on to St Arnaud and gas up before heading off the sealed road onto the Porika track which was steep and rocky but a fun challenge for my bike being so small . We then headed down into Lake Rotoroa after a couple beer stops and then headed onto Braeburn track and out of another valley into Murchison for late lunch and beers. From there we headed up the valley and over the Maruia Saddle then into Springs Junction then straight lined it to Hanmer Springs for a big night. Up first thing in the morning for a soaking wet and cold ride back home to chch while the others headed north up the Inland Kaikoura rd. My bike performed so well and kept up with the 200s and 250s well enought and held a good 90kmhr on its own . Prob smashed close to 950km over 3 days and only had sore ears due to straight pipe. My next mission might be Danseys Pass and pop into Cardrona Valley to see a mate. Best thing was all the old boys fizzing over the posties at the gas stations and being blown away how far away from home I was. Great fun on small bikes always !
  2. Gonna be there on bikes late sat arva and will be there the night
  3. Damn thats great work Pete !!
  4. Rad ! Bike doesnt look familar but couldve been one of the lads who raced at Dirtmasters

  6. Fuck thats looking awesome mate !

  8. Ah thanks Beave ! Let me know your drink preference both you and @Kimjon and ill sort ya out. Thanks OS for all this goodness !
  9. I think @Geophy is bringing a trailer down or @Yowzer is too ? Any of you lads able to help my ride into the sunset dreams come true ?
  10. Maybe even chuck that sporty fender in too and ill chuck in 2 boxes ?
  11. @Kimjon id be super stoked to buy that ford fender off you for a box of beers ! Is it possible to get this to someone who is coming down from near you to wagnats next week and ill get a beer of your choice to you the same way
  12. Maybe some attending wagnats would be able to bring it up from welly and swap into the couple of trailers heading back to Hamilton and you could get it from there. Id offer the Van space but im going thru welly at 130am
  13. So another 8 months passes by. This thing was as good as sold late last year. Dude hit me up on the regular for the better part of the year and I gave in after a unbelievable offer.Dude flew down and checked out and we organised freight to Auckland and then he went quiet over xmas . And then in the new year he rang and left a message bailing on the deal. I was a bit gutted as I drummed up in my head that I was done with it. But now its staying. In last 8 months ive ridden around block ablut half a dozen times and its got a stutter which if jetting I feel so will get onto that in good time. However after looking at it pretty much finished ive decided I dont like the style anymore. So ill ditch the Rear guard , Sissy bar , Taillight , King Queen Seat and restyle the whole rear end. Also will get rid of pipes and make something myself. Will also fit indicators but keep them tucked away and hidden to a certain point. Be nice to ride it finished next summer so ill see how I go aye. Here is the style seat and rear end I like
  14. This is great to watch. One day id love to rebuild my spare YB100 motor for my F5 to this spec. Keep up the good work dude
  15. Fuck yeah im digging it aye !
  16. Ya what mate ?!
  17. Looks great Russ ! I did really like the sound of Shannons bike when Regan was riding it on East Cape ride. Is this the bike your riding on Molesworth ?
  18. Haha QCR dont ride much these days. Got the odd few member that ride as a group and when I organise ride I prefer Rural roads vs City roads for the very reason we are obscenely loud and annoying so have fun away from people and more likely to get away with it.
  19. Yeah take the lesson and refine the bike to tastefully include some of the features he reckons ya need. It can be done easy enough and still keep your bike wild . I would really like to have a working brake light on all my bikes and a speedo wouldnt go astray due to repowered bikes
  20. Soooo had a stunning day for the ride and we were making good time and as we dropped down into the third bay Magnet Bay my throttle cable snapped ! Due to my well organised tool roll of spares I knew I had a spare brand new Throttle cable ready to fit. But when searching for it I couldnt find it anywhere then remembered I gave it to @sentra to fix his bike on the East Cape ride ! But lukily I had a Cable repair kit so we used a part of that then attached a cable tie loop and pulled that for throttle. So we carried on down the valley to Magnet Bay. Checked out some future dive spots then rode 20km of gravel back onto probably 50km of sealed road home. Was a great on two wheels with just myself and Aaron on his C100.
