Yes please! 300mm round would be pretty choice as it seems I can't find square easily. Could I have a couple of metres or so? I can trim it down on site. The bollard is going either into, or near to, the hole vacated by the concrete pole. I feel the need to protect the footpath mounted telecommunications and electricity pillars

The bollard will stand up, sticking out of the ground by about a metre. I figure if she (and others) can see it she's much less likely to hit it. Laminating together some sleepers isn't a bad idea. I hadn't thought of asking Bedrock (doh!), but I have to drive past Ablaze tomorrow so perhaps I'll look in there too. Thanks guys. Has anyone got a suitable bit of timber for an in-ground bollard? I need something to stop my wife driving into a hard to see thing, but a big fat timber bollard is hard to find. Anyone got anything laying about in Wellington? I'm happy to pay cash and come collect it of course I guess I'd want something approx. 300 x 300 x 1,500mm. A square wharf pile would be pretty good. Steel is no good here. I've seen the timber power pole on TM but I'd really prefer square Ta EDIT: If mods want to move/delete then I shall not complain as I understand this isn't the WTB secton

With a bike you could probably just tip it upside-down to protect the engine from carbon ingress when scraping at stz

The Tilton one was what I chose as it had a 'return to retracted' feature. It was easy to set up wrt distance from the 'back' of the bellhousing, but I had to turn up a sleeve to get the input shaft nose big enough to stop the slip on Tilton unit tilting and jamming. I was using a Quartermaster clutch I never actually drove th car after that so perhaps it was shit... but I think it would have been choice

Come have a look and a measure up when it suits. I think the bay is about 9m x 2.5m, but of course there is also the shared central area that takes 1.5 cars for short periods. A non moving car shouldn't be a problem. Work isn't a problem at reasonable hours... but as you can imagine late night grinding is a bit of an issue for the locals.

I have a tenant moving a seven metre boat out of the lock-up in a few weeks. The shed is in Landfill Road and has good lights and good security. It's dry and with a smooth concrete floor. Running water, toilet, and power (within reason) are included. This isn't a party shed so would suit long term storage for a large vehicle or boat. There's an engine crane (usually), chain hoist, lathe, drill press, 20t press, welding plant, linisher, drop saw, compressor and a fridge already on site. This particular bay is a prime one and has excellent access to the main door, but it's Wellington prices: $320 per month (including power)

Yeah/nah, this is probably too small for all youse, but here goes anyway: The plastic fuel line on my 26cc two stroke Ryobi weedwhacker went all soggy and melted when I was away on holiday over new year. I replaced the bit I could see and the motor went sweet last weekend, but it's now seeping petrol from somewhere and wouldn't start after six or seven pulls. I am not a patient man - so I went straight out and bought a 30cc Victa because Steeb told me Victas were da bomb (Steeb knows what's up and stuff) Henceforth: If anyone wants this 26cc Ryobi two stroke line trimmer (with a fuel leak) you can have it for free (and some spare new fuel line too), but you will need to collect it from Island Bay
