  1. straight off google "White smoke occurs mainly during cold starts, when the fuel tends to condense into liquid and does not burn due to cold engine parts. The most common reason for white smoke are in-operative glow plugs low engine compression, a bad injector spray pattern, late injection timing or injection pump problems." Start with ya glow plugs?

sika flex mate. awesome stuff. heres a guide to help you out. http://www.sika.co.nz/nz_ind_indpds_automotive_selection_guideandflow_chart__0311.pdf
  3. holy shit thats one sharp looking mini. looks epic mate.
  4. yeah i know that just pointing out it isnt made of plywood.
  5. fair enough. i wouldnt say f1 cars use plywood though its a Jabroc plank, expensive composite of beech veneer and resin.
  6. wrinkle looks good! are you keepin the plywood? what happens when it gets wet, drys and warps or starts to delaminate? treated or not its bound to happen. Youve done such a good job dont skimp on the splitter mate.
  7. looks good mate. love the period touches.
  8. Long way for a paint job mate. Fleet imaging aye. remember working on the transformer pretty much in their front door way a couple years back. Sticking with green?
  9. Big update indeed. Shame about the fire but lucky you didnt lose the car (and the house). Your doin a cracking job.
  10. liking the new stance alot very cool wee car.
  11. as gaz says get a t2 manifold and stick a t28 on it. seen a couple of s15 turbos on trade me cheapish, bb though, or get a gtir journal bearing one, alot easier and cheaper to rebuild. rb25 turbos are odd ball pieces of shit, specially if you want to abuse it like you do on the track.
  12. my rb25 turbo did the same so just binned it. i got my restrictor from enzed, they have a few sizes thatll just fit in ya braied line, look like a litttle olive. ive gone back to journal bearing so no need for one. that bolt beside the water one is just a long locating bolt from memory, you can pull it out for a look if you want. time for a new turbo then! And the exhaust wheel bits missin look pretty fresh? did you do that pullin it to bits? shitty ceramic wheels.
  13. And vegie, very tastefully done. havent seen one of these in years. Love the fj20.
  14. that doesnt make it turn in quicker or provide anymore mechanical grip mate. reading your build thread you should have a full understanding of this.
  15. good job gettin her rolling mate . you erent tempted to take it for a spin down the road? best way to test those brakes out
  16. have you dumped the oil and cut your oil filter open to see whats been floating around in ya oil?
  17. no worries, would hate it pop off once your coolant gets up to temp and then youd be back to square one (or in the shit if your drivin) could be a cheap investment thats all.
  18. lookin good, but whats with the 20 cent coin why not just go to repco or somewhere and get a frost plug to bung in there? look alot tidier.
  19. those wheels are a vast improvement. take ya hubs off and get 3mm spun off there maybe? wouldnt be hard to do
  20. looks like youve done well. keep whippin the pics up so we can see how it turned out.
  21. Got one in invers but tht be to far away.
  22. Are the plugs wet? otherwise look for an air leak, check the rubber joins between the carb and the head to see if its split/leaking?
