  2. I love mint originals. And this is definatly MINT and original. What an awesome car. Love it!!
  3. The jag v12 weighs about the same and is about half the size of the fronte! Thanks for that link CaM. Will give them a bell. Also:
  4. No particular reason for alloy. Just didnt know where to look for getting flywheels made up in NZ. A google search came up with this place in USA that specialise in alloy jaguar flywheels. Do you know of any places in nz that could make one up? 400 sounds alot better than 700
  5. No, but thats probably a really good idea. I'll ask them Thanks for suggestion
  6. Posting in this thread, but that '56 is SO AWESOMELY MINT!!!!!!!!
  7. 4k carb FTMFW Gutted. Fingeres crossed you can find something cheaper!
  8. Hold in there bud. It'll turn out mint! Will u hunt down another factory ecu or use an after market one? Or just chuck some filthy carbs on there ftw!
  9. Jaguar V12 Is ~700 an ok price?
  10. I am doing a manual conversion and can either: Buy An after market alloy flywheel for $700 Or convert my flexplate to a flywheel by adding a friction surface etc Does anybody know the costs involved in converting flexplate to flywheel? Would it cost more to convert my flexplate to a flywheel that getting an aftermarket one. Original flywheels are out of the question as they are rarer than hens teeth. Also, will any, say, 10" clutch plate work on any 10" pressure plate ? eg. Supra clutch plate on a GM pressure plate?? Chur
  11. Thats a rather substantial looking engine!! Gonna be so mean when its done! Will you have to get it certed?

    Flywheels Exploding

Gosh! Like a bomb going off
  13. Firing multiple injectors at once works fine. My jag has a linkv3 and fires 6 injectors at a time. Fuel isnt wasted as it does this once for every 4 revoloutions. Are there mega gains from firing the injectors one at a time?
  14. Gee this is going to be tuff when its done!!!
  15. It rocks. Love the mags. And yea, the fishing rod is a mean addition!!
  16. Did you actually swap it?
  17. Nice color. Looks really cool!!
  18. It was the spark plugs!! Put in some hotter burning plugs and its dandy now. One of the plugs mighe have had a crack in the insulator or something. And was using more juice than normal. That would explain why when i took one lead away it would fire on that plug as the ignition would only have to run 2 plugs per cycle. Still weird tho
