  1. Awesome. This car looks so cool. Be mean as lowered to hell on some tuff rims!
  2. Roll down to dick smiths or something and get one of those $10 multimeters. Then you can check the voltage of the wires and connect them properly. On your new wiring loom the yellow is most likeley the constant 12v the red is the ignition switched 12v and black is ground. Just get the multimeter and find out which wire in the old loom had 12v all the time. And which one only has 12 v when the key is on acc. And the ground is probably black. Dont quote me on any of the colour/voltages tho. As they can sometimes be different. your headunit manual should say what colours what.
  3. Hey boe. Those mags on the cxg look wicked as. Did a good job tidying it up too. Mean
  4. Thanks Man. I had a long look around first. And there are a few off the shelf kits but they cost around 3500-5500 so its a bit out of my price range. And they use "cheaper" components too. Like steel flywheels etc. If i source parts from different companies its gonna work out cheaper in the long run. And better too. But that article on the link u gave me, gave some good steps into how im going to go about my conversion. Cheers
  5. Looks mean as man. Maby a tad lower. But that is a seriously tidy escort. Awesome
  6. Guard Rub FTL. Be mint as with some lower pros on it!
  7. See if you could somehow get one of those reverse hammer things attached to it. Don't know what they're called. Used for pulling out dents etc/ just a thought, probably wont work
  8. Using a w5X. Got a bellhousing for one of those. Trying to find a steel sandwhich plate w57/58 at the moment. I like the ratios of the w55 tho. Would make for some mean acceleration. You know of any w55/57/58s for sale? Been keeping an eye peeled on trademe. Dont really care about the overdrive. as the standard jag overdrive is 1:1 so any supra box is better of standard. As far as i have read, all the "all alloy" supra boxes are the same strength. And the ones with a steel sandwhich plate are slightly stronger (bigger bearings, wider teeth etc) I wish i was running a r154 But the cost of the conversion tripples if i do that Edit: Spence bet me to it The jag weighs about 1700kg so it would probably need to be a rather meaty clutch. I can just adapt a clutch plate to fit the supra spline. So i dont need to go toyota
  9. That it does. Dont really have any idea what clutch im gonna use. Flywheel is drilled for 10.5" e-type pressureplate. Dont want to use e-type pressureplate though cos its expensive and nothing special. Will probably try find a 10.5" clutch though. Maby a holden one or something. Will look around. I can get any clutch plate center converted to 21 spling supra though. And can try find a thrust bearing to fit. Want to go relativly stock. I want loads of drivability. None of this on/off clutch stuff, as i live in hillstart capital of NZ Have you got any suggestions for clutches?
  10. Gotta love the pusuit for power
  11. Flywheel arrived today. Was rather expensive. But its a good one. Way better than adapting my flexiplate to a flywheel or adapting some other flywheel to fit. Or even sourcing an original. 16lb Alloy Flywheel with steel ring gear. I can drill it for whatever clutch i want. Which is good. Now just gotta get a supra box then ive pretty much got everything i need for manual conversion. Will be wicked..
  12. I still cant get over the awesomeness of that oil pressure light. Car Looks so cool. Why did you change the exhaust tunnel?
  13. Tis a pretty mean beast you got there
  14. Clearing out camera and found these pics from the nats. Fronte and Kpizzle: Oldschool small car vs Newschool small car. Oldschool wins: Bought another parts fronte this weekend. Was cheap as chips. Has had the whole arse end cut out and a civic motor put in it. The motor was in parts tho so no skids . Bought it mainly for panels to make fiberglass moulds. Will eventually do an engine repower with this one seing that it has already been cut up. Outboard FTW!! Looks pretty good: Bit of rust in the corner of the back window. Nothing i havnt fixed before : The motor in place. Hollow. no head. Rocker cover sitting ontop. Will probably scrap it as it would need a full rebuild to get going. And also If I do a repower, I will do it the extreeme way I really have to finish my original fronte. Only needs paint now. but yea....
  15. Goat

    Battery!

You could run it along the firewall maby? That should be legal. But dont see why it wouldn't be legal running it along x-member.
  16. I like the new tail-lights too. Look way better, design wise ans well as condition Ans yea. Agree with Mikuni on those wheels Fuck Yes
  17. Couldn't find a post on this so meh, Good to see the ball is starting to roll. This car is going to be SO cool to restore!! Soon as you told me about it, i wanted to see it done! And now you are getting serious Mean boe
  18. Both look good actually. I do like the dark centers of the wats tho. 17s suit the car better. IMO But needs to be low Ultra low FTW Still lovin the mustard. Eternally cool
