So boes, I post but I don't actually own an oldschool car, but I figure if people are interested in CaM/Slammers pug, then maybe some people may be interested in my chaser build. So I bought the car in March, pretty fuckered. I already had the motor, just needed a car to put it in. I got to Auckland and it was a piece but the girlfriend at the time proceeded to enforce I buy it as it was our ride home. Its a Chaser so its middle spec between Mark II and cresta. Started off 2 litre 1gfe auto which was fucked, and one of those stupid foot operated parking brakes. It is now 1g-gte powered with a w55 and hand operated park (among other uses) brake. Which Supra box are you using? W5* or R154 or V160? Edit - My Gx81 has a 9.5" clutch out of a hilux. Was pretty cheap at trade, bout 220 for the exedy kit. Perhaps later model Hilux's have a bigger clutch?

Edit- ignore me found the link. Yeah I dunno why I bought my 75, Its really oddball to drive for me. Don't really fit in it very well, ergonomics are pretty shit. But its quite fun to drive. If anybody wants one, I have a 75 for sale. Me no job. Buy buy buy.

I've gone to do some work on a guys car before asked him have you torqued up the flywheel - Him "yes" Ah good then to what setting? him "Oh just did them up as tight as I could" Me "Ah ok I bought a torque wrench and looked up the setting before I came, Lucky you" Get under Car, all 8 need another 3/4 tweak before torquing up. Him didn't realise seriousness of flywheel failure. Then he dropped the car on me shortly after, never spoken to him again...
