  4. problem is the fuel curve on speed density is way different for itbs then single manifold. In that fuel on itb motor at say 75kpa is next to nothing (say 5-10%), but on a single throttle motor it could be 40% load... so you can get an itb motor running on stock ecu to fuel ok at idle and then again near full throttle... but in between its going to overfuel. also accel enrichments (that good sound you get when you just stab the gas) will be crap on std ecu. been there, wouldnt waste me time again. power up on itbs is not much, so need to make sure fuelling is bang on to make the most of it (response, noise). I hope you have purchased an aftermarket ecu, because if not you are wasting your time, as ITB will not run on any stock toyota ecu's well they will run but like a bag of shit, this topic has been discuss so many times on gd, so you will need a mega squirt or a link so don't waste your time or money get the car going sell it and go hard core on your 2 door. Also no reason you could run itbs and a turbo on your 2 door

Already well into a 3sgte conversion on my ae85, jsut had this crazy thought, but was looking on yahoo auctions again and found a nsx rear cut C32 + ITBs + AW11 = Real Super Car, Gotta do some measuring http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=QkJAv3q12E8 Watch this and you'll see why im going mad Ah long story, but i orginally convinced my mate to start drifting a dx rather than a dirty nissan, so if i was to buy anything nissan now he'd fully kick my ass why not just go 1mz +itb's + aw11..... Whats a 1mz?

Ah would be more of the fact of why follow the path more consitantly chosen D1 in nz used to be fucking awsome with a much larger varity of cars, i have been involed for 5 or so years now, but over the last few years it has become a predominatly nissan based affair which is fucking boring, who wants to go and watch the same car Fuck id love to see a whole vairty of vechiles out there, not jsut s13's, s14's, s15's, cefboats, luraliners, and scumlines watch it from any where else in world and you get a large varity of differnt vechiles But yeah i have a strong dislike of most nissans post 1989, does mean i dislike them all, another dream car of mine is a 910 coupe powerd by a fj20det But again each to there own and the point of a forum is somewhere you caqn express your options

  12. Yeah, remind me again why its ok to use a Honda engine but not a Nissan one in a Toyota if you're so brand loyal? I can almost understand the Nissan dislike but its a Nissan VQ35DE and it makes heaps of sence as a worthy and sensible conversion. Plus it hasn't really been done before (if at all), I mean its not like you're just mashing an SR/RB20DET in something like everyone else does. Because the NSX motor imo is alot more excotic than a vq35de, and i also respect Honda motors very much, plus the nsx motor was never placed in boring fwds like a maxima I have alot of repect for honda's jsut very disapoint they never created a truly great front engine rwd, the s200 was ok, by the power assited steering rack kill's all driver feed back, plus apparntly fghts against over steer No other Japanese company has manged to attane the h/p per litre figures Honda have except for the n1 sr16ve but thats rarer than a nun's shaven fanny. Plus my best mates who sponsored by Toyota NZ for D1 would kick my ass ever even conteplated anything nissan

The motor would be used front engine rwd Cost is not actually that much more than the new Lexus motor or a 350z motor But I'm so Toyota loyal i could never use the 350z motor how ever good they are, also the new toyota v6 is alot more pricey than a nsx engine Really want to know if they spin in the correct direction to use a r154 with one and either use a custom bell, or a auto bell with adaptor plate Was thinking a front engine rwd nsx power vechile would be a great deal of fun
  15. Hey Guys Was just wondering do these motor's run in the same direction as most vtec's e.g b16a so they can't be converted to rwd Or are they like the s2k motor and run in the normal direction ? I've got a crazy conversion idea

  17. I got the feeling some-one trying to give you the pineapple a good thing to do would be to ring brent from speedworx in palmynorth and have a chat to him about the vechile and the state of tune it left him in Casue to me it sounds like they are making problems for you not fixing them

No reason with the modifactions the vechile has it should not be pushhing 300kw very easy, the 3sgte has the greatest head flow out of most japanese 4 cylinder turbos and with the modifactions that have been done to your motor there should be no reason 300kw is not achiveable Things i would look at size of injectors, to be pusing 300kw you will need at least 720cc fuel pressure reg need a good risng rate one, not some cheap chinse copy, get a sard will need lots of boost at least 20psi have you also thought of the person tuning the car, some people have a habit to be more conservate than other's don't want to rish somthing bad happening, if i was in wellington, id be heading towards speedtech before chequerd flag, but again thats perosnl option thing, but im sure andre could have coaxed 300kw out of it easy, he tuned the red mr2 from nzpc not long agon, had very similar mods to your car, and ran an easy 342kw on pump gas
