  1. Depends if the shoes arent moving or if they just need adjustment tho? Usually there's a little hole in the back plate where you can poke a screwdriver in and rotate a star nut to open up the pad adjustment Tho it sounds like you are saying they are stating on/grabbing
  2. If sticking on, probably the slave cylinders need attention. Moisture can get in them and corrode the piston and bore so they get stuck. Can get away with stripping, cleaning, and new rubber seal. Or mightake more sense to replace depending on the car/condition. Rubber brake hoses can fail internally when they are old, so they act like a 1 way valve and the fluid gets trapped in the cylinder making the brakes stick on Remove the drum and check for leaks, get some one to pump the pedal half way and watch how the shoes move to see what's happening. Should be smooth in and out. Giving it all a clean and lubing the metal on metal parts when you put it back together helps alot too
  3. If its available on rock auto I throw all new hardware at them, it's like $10 for a kit But what do you mean by binding up? Grabbing / sticking on?
  4. Oh that's easy, expecially if it's a slow day (as they don't always grab from top of the pile) I just got 1 plate, might leave the others till next time lol
  5. How many replacement plates do you think I can get in 1 go without arousing suspicion. Got 3 vehicles that have lost them (legitimately, well one was on a stolen bike and didn't come back, but that was years ago and I don't know the police report)
  6. Got most of an early VN engine here, with the thermostat at the back. Might be same as USA on those
  7. Can get 160f 71c thermostats for turbo grand nationals
  8. got most of the way through remaking the lower half of one of the front wings as all were rusted out there that i found then i found one with no rust and a genuine nissan replacement sticker on it, so i didnt bother welding the patch on and just bought a near new panel better living every one considered doing the same with the doors, just bolt some straight ones on, but its a lot of admin from a wrecker
  9. Part of what they look at, when looking for dodgy repairs is fresh underseal If the whole under side is done and it doesn't look like it's hiding repairs it's probs OK. Worse case is strip it off to prove it
  10. Is it fresh repaint How about underneath, fresh underseal?
  11. Number plates aren't part of the revin I. E you get it inspected with no plates on it, then you go pay your rego, they never put the number on my loose wof tag for my dr200 lol so could have used it on anything Will you need a repair cert? Why is there rust, signs of past repairs?
  12. Seems like a lot of words to say, do a skid
  13. And that's why this one is going to be worth big bucks to late 90s Nissan foamers with a soft spot for 2000s car mods
  14. Bart, the pain of you skulking about to get some grommets, when an entire box can be delivered to you overnight, is unbearable
  15. Pretty sure my tiny home was more. Such a rort
  16. This is what $150 ish gets you in old xplod gear It's not entirely period correct, but that's fine. Because I'm retarded I spent extra to not only get a 10cd stacker, but then extra to get a head unit with a proper input for said CD stacker, tho I think I could have hacked a lesser head-unit to run one easy enough. But this one has front and rear L/R outputs too 1000w amp 1300w sub I have no idea where any of this will fit without taking up folding flat boot space, I may have to make some rear quarter pods, put the stacker in the glove box, and the amp under a seat or something. Current sound system is some after market head unit, factory 6x9s in the D pillars and I'd guess factory 4-6" in the front door panels. Probably just upgrade the front speakers and bridge the rear to the sub. But still...... I want flashing lights and a fibreglass pod that takes up the whole back
  17. This bike kicks back way more than every other dr200 engine i have, im assuming its cos theres a pool of oil leaked into the cylinder, normally its a lazy kick and away they go. Its got some nice bars and a battery tender on it, wonder if its got a milled head too 1999 DF200. TIL that DF200s are actually different from DR200 farm bikes. They are a road frame converted to farm bike spec. pillion pegs, different rear rack mounting, provision for only 1 kick stand and anodized black alloy rims I can see why the deleted the rear peg loop, if you drop the bike it bends them, it breaks the frame, and the pegs then cut the swingam..... noting too bad for a farm/bush bike tho being a bush bike means its really a river bike tho
  18. You will pay 15 at supercheap for a 5 pa k so buy the box
