Bugger. If you get stuck, il give you some instructions on how to bring that number back. But some light chemistry is involved

I don't suppose there's a tag on thr block, usually brass or aluminium with some numbers on it? Or a stamped number on the topside of the block, where the cylinder head would sit (but outside the area that would be covered) Failing that, there's probably a casting number on the head, maybe in the rocker gallery that might help

It's all the same to me. Have you l99ked on yahoo Japan auctions, a whole bag of seikos goes for a good price even with shipping, sell the rest to the suckers here

Yeah if you have "new" and well mixed paint you don't normally get any nits coming through Putting final coat of metallic on and a lump of silver jizzes out is a classic stitch up though

I don't use the filter, just the paper filters Disposable liner would be nice for cleanup

Not sure what if any purpose the groove between the two bits serves, but it seems intentional The pin ends have a hole drilled crosswise, which would be used for removing a bit of broken pivot that gets stuck in the ends. But they don't seem to be drilled down the end.

Restored this little home made broken balance shaft removal tool Was quite neglected, the little anvil bit was rough cut out of some scrap I think, but someone had gone to the effort of machine turning it. I filed it square and removed the old cut marks, polished it and redid the turning. Everything else got polished up to remove the light corrosion, and the plinth sanded down and reoiled. One of the wee V Jaws on top is damaged, but I think it's still usable, you only need the one. Not sure if the 2 pins have been finished, I'm pretty sure they should have a wee divot on the end (like 0.1mm) to help press on the little shoulder where the broken pivot was. Might read up a bit more on that, I have a few that need repairing. A nice staking set and press would be nice in the future

If you want a new loom try here https://www.mickhone.com.au/part/suzuki/3661044A20#content The keihin carb is probably a good replacement, the mikuni tm28 is kind of hard to get parts for if it needs them. You should be able to use a modern dr airbox and brake calliper. Don't see many white plastic ones, might check the frame number on that to see if it was registered. Does it have a tail light too, they are pretty hard to come by in once piece, though you can get replacement lenses I have one engine that just refuses to spark, I have swapped everything electrical on it to good parts, even swapping the loom, stator etc and nothing. Stator in an early engine is different to the later engines, I think physically different in size and I remember something being mounted inside vs outside, but been a while since I looked

I think I just have a couple of extra late model farm bike looms. There's a couple of small differences, but you could run a later loom without any major rewiring. There were a few different cdi plugs used over the years, but it may have been a road legal vs farmbike differences, and maybe the stator plugs were reversed male.and female. I have 2 complete other 80s DRs that are just about to the front of the queue to restore, so i have been guarding my parts stash tbh

I have a little press tool for reforming busted door lock holes if you want to use it. It remakes the wee ring that's pressed into the steel if it's been busted out

I don't really need it...... lol Basically i want a watch cleaning machine, but not pay watch cleaning machine price considering it's basically what I just described. I see there's a "kiwi cleaner " on the market now that presumably someone in nz has come up with Lo9king at the fancy ones, they have a small.ultrasonic cleaner as well as a heater. Takes the cleaning cycle from 5min to 30 seconds the literature says. I think I'd use a cheap one that fits a mason jar Can buy those little mesh holders on aliexpress, or little tea strainer things that could go in something

I want, what is basically a small mixer, Spinning at about 300 rpm, and changing direction every say 15 seconds I can sit there with a drill I suppose, it only has to run for about 5 minutes at a time, but the reversing is a bit fiddly Maybe something like an electric screwdriver and a timer circuit to switch polarity of the motor It doesn't have to spin much mass, maybe 100g, size of a jam jar sort of thing
