I've never fiddled with mine very much. Too complicated
Have you checked that the float level is OK, that would affect the mixture? Have copied a few bits out of manual. This is for 161/186 (HG) but should be mostly the same for 173 I guess?
Looks like you need this tool

Then jack up the opposite corner to compress the spring and hook the took into the holes on the spring cuts. This keeps the spring compressed so it will come free when you jack the front up.
Don't go dismantling the suspension with the spring still loaded
Howdy.
I stuck a camera under the car and went for a drive. This is quite bouncy over bumps, and idea how I can tame that. Currently considering some beefier shocks.
Re-doing some of the trashed panels on the oxford wagon. Glue is OK up to a point but I want to hold some of the curved edges on better (plus I find it hard to get the location correct with the contact glue). Will have a look on the way home today.
Anyone(maybe @64vauxhall)want to recommend a staple gun for upholstery - needs to fire short staples (4mm). Manual would be OK, or air-powered.
Just for hacking so nothing too $$$. The ones I've found online are 6mm.
