Can get the semi in soft med and hard. It seems to be the exact same compound rubber as the full blown slicks. Would love to know for sure.

Basically this will happen - just see what people recommend. 15s is only size i can run. brakes wouldn't allow anything less. avons have a real good range of sizes, has anyone used new avons?

Looking to purchase some slicks in the near future for my lotus 7 replica. currently running R888's 205-50-15 front and 225-45-15 back on a 8 inch rim. i find them pretty good but thats all i know really. i can find their limits pretty easy. can lap manfield 1.16 no probs on them. im thinking softs because such a light car plus 8 lap races max usually. iv looked at hankook - the semis look to be identical to the slicks apart from two grooves and nearly half the price. avon have a good range of sizes which suit me tyres from the states are sooo cheap ( as is everything else ) but freight is a bit of a killer unless i get lots at once. I dont really want to spend over a grand for a set. what have you tried on what car and how do you rate them? Cheers Jase

I have re drilled my hubs and axles to 4x114.3. You will need to remove axles from the diff. A good machine shop can do this for you. Where are you located?

Sure was, the cosworth yb need it ( and me). Ul see the older non 205 pintos don't have this hole.

Other one is the turbo oil return. It's just goes into the sump.

What kpr said. Il try remember how they work. Something like one down is 4 deg, two is 16 deg or some shit.

Cut both ends off. Weld prep the box with gussets still attached. Bolt side plates to the truck. Offer up the box and center / level it up. Nice little root run will fill the 3mm gap at each end. Capping run to finish. Paint Done. How heavy the truck? Might need a tow connection cert.... Don't cut it in the middle that's rookie as shit.

I made it output peck drilling in straight gcode. It works mint as. More lines of code but runs perfect. If I try run cycle83 it just stops and says option not loaded or some such description. Basically it doesent know what 83 is. It's not a code error as it would say sintax error or ref plane incorrect ect. I Sussed rigid tapping cycle today so hope to get the post updated to work correct for this. I have a few tapping jobs in the morning that will have to be hand written dam it. I havnt crashed it to any great extent yet but I can see how it happens with all these dodgy post processors around! It would fuck shit up! Pretty much no stopping it it's sooo powerful.

Hyundai v800 with a Siemens 810d and a mmc103. Cycle83 - hasn't seemed to have loaded the cycle file on startup. It's deff still in its correct place ect and it's on the start up load list. It can read line by line g01 and g00 no probs but my post won't output this for it's drilling. That is a option for fixing it though!

I wouldn't say a lot at the moment. I'm having a few issues with post processors and my machine not running peck drilling cycles. Hopfully my tech man will get it Sussed tomorrow. I'm very new to cnc but i know manual machining and solidworks well

Maby, bobcam is very labour intensive. For short runs and custom parts like what I do it's too slow in the cam stage. It also doesent auto update tool paths if you change the model at all. That's the whole point of having integrated software in solidworks.

I'm not aware of much yet, only got it running on Monday. It's not in German but it basically assumes you already know the controller inside out when it tells you to change something.

German is a bit beyond me too. And so is the manual lol. It says what menu to be in to change the parameter but not how to get to the menu.

Any one a pro on the seimians 840d controller? I need to unplug the 4th axis but to do that I need to tell the controller to not look for it. Bit beyond me!

No it's not actually dead head. Just did a test like that to check the pumps max pressure and to rule out the reg as a fault
