  1. Yeah man it has quite a bit of body roll, but once you get over that it actually handles quite sweet. Was good fun through the desert road.
  2. So, this week is consisted of getting this thing registered. Caught a ride down with Richy for swapmeat. Got tyres, and a quick service sussed over the first few days. Got the panelbeater to repaint the valances, and sills as per factory (think it looks loads better), removed the horrible aftermarket mirror on RHS door, and of course, fixed the damage. Then yesterday, picked it up from the panelbeaters at about 2pm, and took it straight down for it's re-check. Drove around local VTNZs to see which plates were available, think the plate I choose out of four options, was probably the funniest/least relevant. (10 off small block, mate.) Hissed round to Cam's, bolted the plates on, and then left Palmy for Auckland about 3:30pm. Just out of Feilding, entering the Rangetiki district On the desert road What eruption? Stopped in at Dave's for a lush dinner Horrible grainy photo at Lake Taupo, had to stop at the BP for a 10 min nap, and a triple shot coffee. Went via Hamilton to find another coffee, most places were closed, and BK's coffee machine was down. Moved on from below and grabbed another coffee at Ngaruawahia/fared for my life Then from here managed to jump on to expressways/motorways, to get back home. Luckily to keep me sane 'the sound' was playing the following in full. Made close to an hour of motorways pretty sweet; aldjyTZINKQ Pulled in the driveway at 1:45am after just over 600kms.
  3. When I was in getting mine for it's first check, the compliance guy said that the check is much more stringent for a car that's later than 1990. Said the interior may need to be taken out, and it's $400, rather than $250
  4. Special thanks goes out to Cam, for doing an immense amount of work on this over the last week or so. Fucken best cunt ever.
  5. YEs. bai it back. Look forward to it.
  6. Will know in a few days. Repair certifier tomorrow, and reg check probably Wednesday.
  7. Just wanted to check. Coz, fuck man. Looked so fucking choice. Basically was my fav car there.
  8. Two tone with swaaaaaaaaaaaaaage bei.
  9. Did I see this at the Auckland meet the other night?
  10. Well, looks like this may be the last ever (for a good while at least) for my lil ute. Failed wof on a extreme amount of rust/other things. Will prolly go into storage back home, and bring the E21 up. Seeya all in a wee while
  11. I think I know that car! Well, maybe. Did you buy it off a guy on bimmersport? He had one exactly the same. This is going back 5+ years ago though. If it's that car, it was friggin tidy. Fucking sweet interior too. Best colour interior evah.
  12. Fuck yeah, glad that you convinced Lauzzzzzzzzahhh.
  13. choice. Not sure which way to go tbh. Are SU's yuck? Or just a bit of a prick to tune?
  14. e.g, some SUs and manifold on Ebei; http://www.ebay.com/itm/MGB-Intake-Carb ... c2&vxp=mtr and a 32/36 Weber conversion kit/manifold with new carb for not a lot more; http://www.ebay.com/itm/WEBER-CARBURETO ... 66&vxp=mtr
  15. So, basically started to pop ideas in my head when reading Leons thread in regards to his 1256. Was thinking of buying one of these for myself in a couple weeks; http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISSAN-DATSUN-5 ... 05&vxp=mtr When I started wondering, could I change to something sweeter for around the same sort of cash/not heaps more? The above carb is prolly gonna cost me close to $400 landed. Am pretty certain/internet knowledge/think Mitch tried it, that an MGB manifold bolts straight on, giving twin SUs. Worth buggering around with for lols? Or better just to stick with a standard carb?
  16. fuck yeah that'd look so sweet on an XA-XC.
