  3. Mines the same, tried different speedo gears, dosnt help.its because you are using the sigma box also as they where set up to run a lower diff ratio (3.6 or somthing), where as the lancer is either 3.9 or a 4.2.
  4. 1600 GSL lancers have the larger diameter springs on the front yeah? If so then sigma ones are the same and so are E30 BMWs.

  9. Im pretty keen to turn up to some of these, but wont be able to make them all. Always found that the start of the month seemed to work well when i was in palmy.
  10. i used to get that in a lancer i had years ago, was the clutch.Warped flywheel.Took me ages to find it coz it felt like it was in the diff.

I bigger cam makes a huge difference even if everything else remains the same.Its easy to get headers for them (i hav a spare set if needed) and the 32/36 dgv carbs are a great upgrade fromn the shit standard ones.I have 2 LA lancers, one has the older 4g63 and the other has the cyclone fwd engine and i have to say that the cyclone engine does seem to go alot better and revs better.Maybe the myth of larger valves is correct although i guess the added compression would be having the same influence.

  15. I can do it, i just dont have anywhere to do it,my concrete at my place is like a 45 degree angle.Pretty tempted to move house just to do it.Would be sweet.I could do it in the storage shed that its being stored in i guess lol.
  16. Ive heard the libero bolt in too, but they are the 8 bolt diff i think, but you score rear discs and an LSD if your lucky.

This is stange for me to request but i am needing to get a gearbox changed over in my 75 lancer as the standard one has shat itself Ive done it many a times, but unfortunatly i dont have the space nor the time at the moment to do it so im seeing if their is anyone who would be keen to do it?Its very straight forward, no modifications needed etc.The car is still drivable (as long as its not toooooo far) and i will get a new exedy clutch kit for it also. If anyone can help me out would be much appretiated. If you could text me on 0276968184 would bew great as i only get on the net once a week if that. Cheers.

  19. you need to change cross member unless you can come up with a way to make a crazy offset engine mount for the LHS.It will bolt to your gearbox, but not to sure about the clutch.Its prob a whole lot easier to find a 4g32 engine and rebuild that and then just swap them over when your done.
  20. Small update, car is now fully legal and have been driving to work the last week. All it failed a wof on was a tie rod that cost me $15. Not bad for a car in unknown condition thsats been sitting for over 2 years.Pretty stoked. Will just tidy her up, need to connect up the heater core and see if that leaks, if it does then replace it.Its a pain in the arse not having a heater. Fan also not working so need to investigate that further also. Fit new carpets and sound deadening and also take a better look into the gearbox.I think its on its way out.Seems the sleeve on the rear of the selector shaft has alot of play and is making the gearstick rather floppy.Crunches abit changing up to 4th and down into 3rd.Im not sure at this stage if this is due to the play in the shaft or syncros.I have a sigma 5speed i can replace it with which appears to be in good condition.   21. ive cut and repositioned the spring seats b4 and never had to cert (if its a nice job), but in saying that it is kinda pointless if your not going shorten the strut housing also.Whats the issue with just replacing the standard springs and using a shorter insert to keep them captive?Thats what i would do, but hey, what do i know.
