I'm on a page where people bag those trans out in memes 24/7. Apparently turbo LS shorten their life a bit?

Oil, Does it matter a fuck if you mix different oils of the same grade? Say castrol 10-40, with penrith full synth 10-40, and some other 10-40? (I guess more so that one of them is synthetic) I wanna use up some leftovers/do an oil change for free.

Unless it's a convertable? Say a 60's yank tank 'vert? If you put new lap belts in that they'd be okay?

Start with a hardness test. I've had quite a few heads go soft from getting too hot. (I believe @sheepers had some Warp-O-Matic sponge M series head rehardened once though? (Because good M series heads are rarer that a hens tooth stuck in a unicorns hoof) Dave Rosewarne from CHS once showed me (as he was condemning a head a bought in for testing) that if the circle where the head bolt washers rest is sunk in, that's a warning sign that the metal has lost its hardness. (The washers sink into the metal, which reduces the clamping force of the head bolts)

I'd go with the A87 head. The closed chambers will give better combustion dynamics.

Loctite says on the bottle is may attack some plastics. So I wouldnt reccomend using it with a nyloc. I prefer the split pin because nyloc looses its grip after a few times being done up/undone.

Theres actually a thing called a seal saver for those shifter seals. It's something like a disc which prevents the shifter body moving ecentricly and the seal losing contact. *so I heard, second hand. -
I ground out bog 40mm thick with one once. Chewed through it like a 7.5hp loncin mower over dry grass.
-
A twist knotted wire brush cup wheel eats bog. But so does the bloke holding the grinder.

I saw a graveyard cars video where they built a huge steel jig as long as the car. -

Speaking of the front seal/torque converter seal, Hows the neck of the converter look? It's not uncommon for them to groove out too. -
Yes, yes it was. The power valve set up is probably what made it so good on gas.
-
The car I had with flat leaves couldnt get traction. Replaced them, and that improved.
-
Flat leaves are hopeless.

Also if your engine is 2000cc, please run the blower at 1:1 ratio. I assume you're sticking with the carb? If so, Please go drawthrough. I ran a 32/36 for a while on an SC14. But I found a 350cfm Holley used truckloads less gas.

I spy an sc14 from an estima Van!

Hey with your dash, @nismo.capri tidied up the dash from his capri, and painted it with bed liner. The texture was close enough for a dash pad. Might be worth a shot? -

Oh, they did mention a big shipment was arriving soon? I'm miles away from ordering one myself tbh.
